New Cover Art and Milestones · 9:33pm Dec 13th, 2014
Happy Holidays to all! I hope that all of your are enjoying the start of December along with all of the good things that come with celebrations this time of year. I know that I have been very busy spending time with my family, enjoying workplace parties, and trying to get ahead of matters in the office so I can take a few days off at the end of the year. This blog post is intended to provide insight into three topics:
First, I expect to release Chapter 11 of Sunset Shimmer: Element Bearer in the next few days. I have taken great care with the opening scenes of this chapter, and because of your support and help, I think that it's a product worthy of your time. I especially appreciate the advice of IsabellaAmoreSirenix and SerenaAveline. There's a bit more that needs to be completed before I can press "publish", so I hope that you continue to be patient a little while longer.
Second, I am happy to let you know that Sunset Shimmer: Element Bearer has surpassed 2,000 user views here on FIMfiction.net. Without your support, your inspiration, your kindness, your comments and your enthusiasm, this story would never have grown past the prologue. Thank you all so very much!
Third and finally, I want to give you a preview of completed cover art for Sunset Shimmer: Element Bearer. Blader-San put me in touch with Dane of Celestia who produced this incredible piece of art entitled Three of Destiny. The artwork is certainly an early present to me and to all of you who have been so wonderful. I will change the cover art on the story page once I am given permission to add the story title to the border of the picture. Enjoy the preview and support Dane of Celestia's talents if you are so inclined!
The art may be accessed HERE due to its size!
That piece of artwork certainly turned out well - like I said, change from warhammer to mace isn't very drastic when you think about it. Halberd to scimitar would have been so much worse.
You know, your last line there made me rethink simply embedding art - maybe I should also provide the link to the source as well when I do that in our messages. Some of those images I embedded are much larger than they render because fimfiction automatically scales them down to fit.
You wouldn't have gotten past the prologue with out our support, huh? Looks like I can't claim any responsibility for that then. I didn't show up until you had chapter 5 out.
Hmm... I think that's all. Now.... take this!

You've come far my young Padawan but the journey isn't over...it's only just beginning.
2651491 You're exactly right... and I'm way too new at this to even think about playing with a lightsaber yet. Thanks for jumping it at the start of this ride and giving the story a close look. Your recent stories are a lot of fun to read, by the way, so thanks for sharing them with all of us!
2651470 You can claim plenty of credit - you convinced me that the big Chapter 5 plot moves were the right thing to do in the long run and have been keeping me honest ever since! So, thank you! I've struggled with the embedded art in messages and comments, but am starting to find a happy medium. I had a bear of a time actually posting the cover art in the story - it seems FIMFiction has a problem with Dropbox links, so I had to find an alternate solution. All better now... I'm glad you liked the thought of giving Aria the mace - my only critique is that Dane of Celestia has now forced me to make Chainbreaker a two-handed weapon!
