A Warm Hearth - News and Alerts · 11:23pm Dec 11th, 2014
I don't know what it is about the end of a college semester. Maybe it's the lack of school work that needs getting done. Less distractions, but still, there's something else about it that just unclogged my thinker from the funk it's been in. I sat down today for the first time in what felt like a very LONG time and just... wrote. Like, hours worth. Carpal Tunnel in my wrists ain't too happy, but the rest of me is.
SO, Some of you may be aware of my Halloween post. For those of you who aren't, here's the jist of it; I've been unhappy with where A Warm Hearth has been going, because I couldn't find an easy way to resolve issues in one chapter. If you've read through it, you might have an idea of what I'm talking about. So, I decided the only thing left to do was rewrite most of the dang thing to tie it in better with what I'd originally set out to do.
Funny thing about that...
I got to reading the progress I'd made with the third chapter (Yes, I've had about 9k words done since LAST january, with no satisfaction with them). And well... Inspiration is such a funny, fickle f**king thing. I read through the chapter, and just as I reached the end, I understood exactly what I needed to do to salvage it.
So, what does all that mean? It means that Part 3 is on its way. Like... 'final read-over, editing and double checks' on its way. 'The baby's coming' on its way. You get the idea.
It does mean there's going to be a 'part 4' winter wrap up (huehue) victory lap, but I should be able to hammer that out over the weekend, barring distractions (Destiny, what are you doing. Destiny, stahp). Then, I'm done. Finito. Fertig. And all sorts of other languages I don't speak.
I also have a whole bunch of half-finished chapters for my other two projects, so... hopefully we'll be seeing more activity from me. At least, before the spring semester. So, until then...
Stop what you are doing right now, go outside and smack some trees around until you have unjinxed yourself.

I'm punching all the oak bookcases and tables I can find, man! My hands can't take much more!
I know the feeling. I finished a project that I started last January just a few weeks ago. Waiting on artwork to finish it. It's not so much a problem with inspiration, but another few personal issues. I also have another story I haven't updated for over a year.
But I don't have anybody clamoring for an update. Count your blessings,eh?
