My Biggest Criticism of Hyrule Warriors. · 5:48pm Dec 9th, 2014
Why...
The hell...
Do you do so little damage to enemy officers?
If any of you have ever played a dynasty warriors game, you'd know that, even if you're a bit under powered, you generally do at least noticeable amounts of damage to the officers.
So many times in Hyrule warriors have I gotten to the enemy officer at the end of a level with like...3-4 minutes left to get an A rank, only to find that it took me 5 some minutes to put him/her down. And that's even exploiting the counter attacks for maximum damage (and by maximum I mean maybe a centimeter or so of their life bar because fuck you). Oh sure, some times you can take over half their health with one counter attack, but that's only if you go in being WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY over powered compared to them.
Also a small complaint is that on some levels, they seem to throw way too many things at you at once. In one level, I had to protect the base from a constant barrage of enemies, defeat 3 super officers (super because of their obscene over powerdness), kill a summoner that's spawning the barrage of enemies from the complete opposite side of the map, kill the Manhandela stalks (camped in 3 completely different, and usually far from each other) that's bombarding the main base with a seed attack, and avoid a fucking cucco that's stalking me throughout the map. Add you're computer ally's being not worth a shit in combat, and you have a 1 way ticket to fuck you station.
There's adding difficulty, and then there's telling the players to go fuck themselves.
