I know it's been a couple of weeks since my last entry. Since I'm between domestic tasks for Thanksgiving, it seemed like a good time to write a blog post, since I know there's no possible way I'll be able to make headway on the next chapter of Sunset Shimmer: Element Bearer until the food is eaten, dishes cleaned and Daughter of ConningOfficer is asleep. I hope that you all are enjoying the holiday (provided you're in the U.S.).
I'm glad that we were able to bake a couple of batches of cookies last night and this morning (including two from the Easy Bake Oven) to give to my base's watch section and security staff. It's a simple thing to have a preschooler deliver sweets to say thank you - and by the way, my daughter chose to wear her Twilight Sparkle hat during our delivery trip.
Thank you to all of you who helped Sunset Shimmer: Element Bearer surpass several milestones over the past couple weeks. These include more than a total of 10,000 story views, nearly 1,750 user views, and greater than 125 upvotes. Your encouragement, private messages, public comments, questions and criticism has given me an enjoyable, welcome diversion from the very real stresses of my professional life. At your urging, my friend and editor, IsabellaAmoreSirenix has taken the lead in editing previous chapters in an effort to eliminate grammar errors and point out some of the mistakes that distract from the story.
I can't say enough about how welcoming the brony/pegasister and FIMFiction community has been over the past two months. By now, you've all figured out that I'm sentimental person who has limited outlets, so it comes forth in my writing. Your reception, your support, and your willingness to make me laugh (yes, you, SerenaAveline) has caused me to be short sleep, but has improved virtually every other facet of my emotional outlook. I know I'm prone to exaggeration, but this is not one of those times.
I'll make progress on Chapter 10 as I can, with a goal of December 7 for publishing. Until then, have fun and be safe. Thank you all! Uotapo is one of those brony artists that seems determined to make people die from the sheer cuteness of his work. I love it.
Anyway, it's been my pleasure to criticize everything that you do. Though I do have to remind you that you're sort of the one who inspired me to start writing again. Only problem is, I'm writing too much and it's delaying all of my fics. I'm still trying to write too many at once. But, I am getting closer, so it'll happen eventually.
Anyway, I don't have much else to say for now, so until then, let's have some smooth jazz up in here!

This is one of the many reasons I enjoy your sense of humor so much. How does it feel to be right all the time? And, why did I spend all day trying to get my head around Aria with a trombone? Geez...
