Hello everybody! I know a lot of you can't wait for the next chapter...Well, I have a lot of work on my plate with finals soon and another three stories to work on. That and well, I have to think about what comes next. I tend to write as I go.
Well, I've been thinking. As you very well know, there are a ton of Next Gens and fan foals. I think the most popular is Kilala's next gen and well, she inspired me to make my own. I know, sounds crazy, but I've been thinking on it. Of course, I'm going to have to finish this story before I get to that. However, I am now working on the next gen set of foals.
I was wondering. Would you guys be interested in reading them? Perhaps I could show you the line up if you like spoilers....As well, do you know any talented artists who could draw them? Maybe one of my fans is a skilled master of the art.
Just wondering aloud some random thoughts and questions.
I hope you all have a great day.
Honestly? I think this is one I'll pass on. I have absolutely no interest in next gen ponies. Hell, I almost never read OC-centric stories period. That said, not saying the idea is bad, just one I don't personally find interesting.

Well, most of the early ones I have planned are mostly about the canon character's antics in raising the kids. As well, none of them will just focus on OCs without canon character involved in any sort of way. FIM has too many colorful characters to do that, even if I go into the far future. (Immortals characters.)

That's just it, though. Mane Six raising kids implies ships, which I don't like, especially with the core characters. I might sound hypocritical for saying that, since I follow your Discojack story, but that's more for the shenanigans rather than any real shipping.

You don't like shipping? Well, quite a few shipfics are bland, but some of them can be oh so entertaining if the author does it right. (Which I aim to do.) As well, love is kind of a zany thing so I treat it as such. So Love=shenanigans in my mind.
Awww~ Don't miss out. I mean, unconventional shippings.
So far:
Discord/Applejack
Pinkie Pie/Frederick Horseshoepin (Completed story 'Love Notes'.)
I'd hate for someone to disregard my own characters just because of shipping, but this is your choice. To each their own.

I almost forgot Celestia/Smaug's kid...Oops, spoiler~

Don't take it personally, dude. As you said, to each, their own. And it's not that I don't like shipping, it's that I think romance is and always will be out of place in MLP when the Mane Six are involved. It's not even a matter of waifu-stealing; I just think they work better as strong, independent mares that don't need no stallion (or other mare, whichever).

Well, I like to think love is the strongest emotion and far stronger than friendship. This is just my opinion and I'm not dissing friendship. It's a mighty force. I just think love (love for a spouse, love for family) is stronger.
Which does irk me. The show could easily do a 'love' kind of episode if it focused a complete episode about Cadance and Shining Armor. It wouldn't be too hard, but the show 'has' to have one of the main characters (or Spike, CMC) starring as the major ones.

Well, love for family I do agree with. And we've seen that the power of love is just as tangible as the magic of friendship. But considering weaponized friendship blew a super-powered Tirek all the way back to Tartarus, (even though he kinda had every last bit of magic in Equestria at his disposal) while the love wave just sent the Changelings hurtling away back towards the Badlands, I'm inclined to believe friendship's the biggest player here. Still, the fact that "Rainbow Power" is stronger than all the magic in Equestria put together annoys me.
I would love to read it, but alas, my "to-read-list" is so long I would probably not get to it for another year or so.
This sounds like a great idea! You should go for it!
If I had the time, I'd offer to draw them myself.
