I've decided to make a habit of informing you guys of my progress and any significant developments in my fic-writing, so you guys aren't left wondering where the hell my next chapter is at. Plus, it will attract extra comments, which I feed on like Changelings feed on love, and it'll act like a booster shot to help me finish the chapter.
Now, on to the news! A little while ago, I announced the end of a short hiatus I had started to get my affairs in order, and assured you all the next chapter would be out soon. I had every intention of keeping this promise, but I didn't think waiting a few days would hurt anyone (I'm a chronic procrastinator, you see, and I wasn't feeling particularly inspired). Unfortunately, events conspired, as they often do, to screw me over. My social, home, and professional life ALL attacked me on the SAME DAY... and then my computer broke a day later.
Sucky.
So yeah, haven't made much progress. However, dear readers, there is hope! When my computer was resurrected yesterday, I logged on to FIMFic only to have my heart nearly explode at the number of encouraging comments left both on my story and the blog post. It really cheered me up to see all of you guys cheering me on, paying me compliments, and just basically being awesome dudes. Since then, I've gone from approx. two hundred or so words to just under one thousand, literally overnight, and I'm still going strong! Considering that life hates me, I can't promise there won't be another catastrophe in the near future, but I can promise that, assuming one doesn't occur, I should the chapter for you soon - like, in a week or two. If I fail in this, feel free to send me hate mail! The shame will be the metaphorical fire under my ass to speed me up.
Now then, if you'll excuse me, I have to try and find a good way to write Past!Celestia in her downtime. Harder then you'd think.
....Well, I can wait. Not sure about the others.

Time to add some good news to your evening, my friend! I'm hosting a movie night within the next few weeks (still unsure of the date.) I'll only give you a hint of what the movie is, but you should be able to guess it. It's a movie from the series that first answered the question 'What time is it?', and it was a much better answer than 'adventure.'

That said, someone mark me down in the 'waiting unwillingly' column. I've reread this story too many times waiting for the next chapter to come out to consider myself in any way patient about the process.

I'm so sorry I'm being such a slowpoke on this, my friend. The last thing I want to do is leave you waiting. Still, every time I try writing something gets in the way. I don't know what's wrong with me; I swear I was a way faster writer on my last story.
Don't let it bother you too much, I have to wait for many great stories, sometimes very long, so while it's not good, it's still not that bad having to wait for the next chapter. That's only a problem if the content of the fic is easy to forget, which I assure you isn't the case with My Choices.
And this last sentence is here for you to fill with praise for yourself.
You are writing an awesome story, it is worth waiting for.
Honestly, this is one of the most intriguing story ideas I have read here. And you have me hooked so far!

Oh, you needn't worry about that. I swore an oath that even if I have to walk barefoot across broken shards of glass, I WILL finish this fic. I've left far to many stories unfinished, so when I started writing ponyfics I swore to never start something I won't finish. That's another reason for these status updates - lack of motivation killed so many of my stories, but your comments act as a pick-me-up to help get me through times when inspiration is short.
So no, this fic will not die. I won't let it.
