I personally found the 80% percent, (or however it was) figure on how many bronies haven't had a romantic partner in over 12 months rather darkly intruiging myself.

as it may be, it rather made it click for me why shipping tends to be such serious business sometimes around here.

But no, seriously, for some reason, this site seems to have dodged the worst crazies of the furry-community, and I think that helps a whole bunch.
I'm not certain if it's the rather jovial tone (most of the time), or the solid age ratings plus tag system, but you simply don't get the (in my experience) 'I'm really a kitsune/unicorn/dolphin/wolf/dragon hybrid with infinity plus one power, and seven constantly erect d
cks so large they should be a air-traffic hazard' people around here.
Instead it's mainly. "Oh, and by the way, I'm a furry."
It's a small thing, but I think it helps a lot with how accepting this community is of that particular sub-culture.
And given the whole Friendship is Magic thing? I'm frankly all for it.
