So, I know I haven't posted anything in a while. Between classes and job hunting, I haven't had much time to write. Add to that the fact that I've had some serious writers block, and I've written a few thousand words, that are more filler than anything else. The problem is this: I have no idea where to go with the story right now. I've finished what I've dubbed part one. Or at least to the point I feel I need to move the story on to the next part, Part 2. Thing is, I know what Part 3 is going to be. I know exactly what that part of the story will contain. I just don't know how to get there. I need to go through part 2, but I'm not sure what it entails. What I do know is this: Part 1 is meant to be focused on Nightmare moon, and her slowly coping and dealing with the world. Part 3 is supposed to be Nightmare trying to win Twilight. I know I don't want to jump strait to that, because it doesn't feel real. It doesn't feel like that's where the story should go right now. So I have part 2, the bridge between the two. Part 2 is supposed to be Nightmare learning to interact with others, learning to put trust in others, learning to have friends really. I just have NO IDEA how I'm going to do that. I had some half formed plans, but I'm at a loss.
The thing is, I like writing. I don't want to put this on hiatus. So, I'm asking you all, my readers, to give me suggestions. Nightmare Moon needs to learn to have friends. She needs to understand how to interact with ponies. What do you think she should do?
Hmm... Y'know, I think she should ask for advice on what to do. But not the way one would expfect...
Maybe something with cake...
But seriously though, it's been awhile since I last read anything of this story and my memory is a bit foggy, so I'll just have to take some time to skim through before I can try to offer some serious advice.
