    Jed On: Stories Taken Down/P2P

Short version. I've taken down several of my stories: I believe the phrase is "pull to publish", as I'm going to strip them down and work them back up as original novels, short stories and more.

    Final (?) Update

    Hi all.

So it’s obviously been a while since I wrote something on here, or indeed updated anything. I’ve been busy for a while, and I haven’t had much motivation to come back to this site for a while. There are a lot of reasons for that, but most of them aren’t really my business to disclose entirely.

    Jed On: Brief writing update

    Hey all.

Short version: I’ve wasted enough people’s time with long talks about my mental state by now.

Haven’t managed to write much of anything since last blog post. Not for this place, not original work, nothing. It’s frustrating, but I’ve had to deal with writer’s block pretty much on and off for the last ten years so... 🤷🏻‍♂️

Jed On: Current Events and History

There’s a lot of awful things happening in the world right now, so I’ve had to really think about the best way to approach it. It sort of hit home when an author whose work I actually liked turned out to be… well, other people know better than I do so I’ll leave it at that.

Jed On: Nearly There · 9:17am Nov 6th, 2014

As of about four or five days ago, I started writing the final epic battle scene of The Avatar of Albion. It's a ways off, yet (there's other chapters in-between), but AOA's climactic finale needs so much pre-thought that I felt it would be criminal to not begin writing it now.

It's brought to mind the fact that the journey of this story - a journey which has taken me from not really knowing where this world was going to knowing exactly where it was going, from vaguery to certainty, from being uncertain I could do the concept justice to being eager to keep going - is nearly at a close. There are other things on the way, big things, but they are The Avatar of Albion: they're new things, new tales - many of which happen to be set in the same universe or spin-offs from it - and while that's magnificent, part of me is sad that the story is nearly at an end ("nearly" being relative of course). Still, it's been fun to do and I hope fun to read, and there's still plenty of story before we get to those last, climactic moments...

Jed.
