The next chapter of AOA, Heart of the World, is proceeding at a faster pace than I had anticipated. It is already at 4,000+ words and is still going - there's a lot going on in this chapter! I thought I'd take the time to briefly explain some of it ahead of the chapter's completion, which should probably happen in the next two or three days tops. Mild spoiler warning for those disinclined to know about these plot threads.
For a start: I've hinted already that there's something of a multiverse surrounding AOA - that's present in Chapter Thirty Three mainly. There are elements (no, not those elements!) of a mythos hinted at as well - light/dark, that sort of thing, all of which will probably be expanded upon in future chapters/stories set in this multiverse. Needless to say, I know where some of those hints are going and what they refer to (obviously), and some of those hints are present in Heart of the World (quite heavily so in fact). One of those hints is about an AU of AOA created by RoyalPsycho - on which, more may be said later - and another is of a plot thread that may or may not form part of future stories set in this multiverse (which would constitute the second anthology: you can tell I've thought too much about this).
I thought it best to quickly run down these elements so that, if people were so inclined, they'd know what those will be a reference to (sort of) when they come out.
