And I feel happy about it. I wrote it mostly for myself.
It contains a shocking amount of world building for a short story, and it sort of explains Peekaboo's talent, at least as much of an explanation I am willing to offer, because I do not plan to fully reveal just how her talent for invisibility works.
The story becomes much darker when you realise the foals were surrounded on all sides by minor demons and shadow creatures who feed on fear. And foal flesh. And that the monsters under the bed and in the closet ARE REAL in the Chase-Verse.
I think my favourite was the tentacle pig or the Jack in the box.
Anyway, the story is completed. Done. Finished. One of the many short spin offs I have planned for the Chase. I hoped that a few of you enjoyed it, it was the right month for it at least.
