The Bookshelf System Is Nice · 11:41am Oct 9th, 2014
It's pretty cool to get alerts about what Bookshelves your stories have been added to.
Of course, this is tempting me to make one titled "Ha this gave you an alert!" and just go rampaging throughout the site.
So I've told you that a co-worker of Brady's has offered to pay for our honeymoon when we officially tie the knot at some point in the hopefully-near future. Brady told me everything there is to do in San Francisco, but tonight, a recently-married co-worker of mine has been attempting to convince us to go with Gatlinburg, Tennessee in the Smoky Mountains.
I love me some mountains.
Watch out. Gatlinburg is nice, but Southern attitudes about modern romance leave a lot to be desired.
A warning.
Whatever you do, I wish you the very best and hope that you are happy.
Some helpful advice from somebody who was married for ten years.
Never yell at one another unless the house is on fire.
Never go to bed angry.
Keep spare blankets in the bedroom. If somebody is a blanket hog, cover yourself up with a different blanket. It's easier than being frustrated with them in the middle of the night.
When buying treats from the store, buy two of each and make sure you establish that the other stay out of said treat. Dividing stuff equally really does keep the squabbles down. He has his container of cookies, and you have yours. Really, I cannot stress enough how much this can reduce frustration and bickering over who ate whose snacks.
Showering together saves water and is environmentally friendly. Yeah, that's it. Do it for the environment.
You can either be right or you can be happy. Took me almost two years to figure out I was better off being happy.
At least once a week over-react to the person you love coming come. OMG! I missed you! You were gone forever! Make a really big deal about them coming back. It sounds corny, but there are very good reasons to do this rooted in human psychology that could easily turn into a doctoral dissertation if I tried to explain it.
2520502 It is not my intention to flaunt it publicly. Love is something to be celebrated, but you don't have to always shout it to the world.
Besides, we're both gamers. I could stay in a secluded mountain cabin with him, playing Halo for the entire getaway, and it would be the best time of my life.
Great pointers, too. My mom has also given me advice on healthy relationships.
Well, if you are gonna make a story with that name... make a one-shot of some creative ways that RD causes Twilight's new 'Disaster and Immediate Catastrophe Kiosk' to constantly alert her as it gets swarmed by all the mares in Ponyville.
2520518 I meant name a Bookshelf that.
I've been to gatlinburg a couple of times it's awesome. I can't compare it since I have never been to the other place but I can describe it. It even has the chair lifts up the mountains. There's a stretch of ripley's believe it or not museums, the best of which in my opinion was the aquarium... There are a bunch of shops that sell swords... Hmmm
Ok, I was twelve last time I was there, I can only remember the one street (museums on one side, swords the other) and the awesome aquarium across the river. And the candy store, but I doubt that is of interest
A secluded cabin is cool, but if you're looking for a hotel, check out the Riverside motor Lodge in Pigeon Forge. I've been there a few times, the facilities are excellent, the staff is friendly (One of the owners is a brony, even).
If your looking for mountains the smokies are great but im a little bit more impartial to the Blue Ridge mountains that stretch across the east coast. Tho I dont know any good cabins in the woods I could point you out to some nice camping and hikeing places (tho I dont knoe if thats your thing or if you have the gear)

How about I just do it to you first and see if you change your mind?
