My Raridash story, Fire, shouldn't take too much longer to be released.

Rarity quickly dropped the innocent act. “I suppose I really should fill you in on the details. To make a long story short, Fancy Pants has decided to set up a little fashion competition in Manehatten, and he personally invited me to join. However, there is one small caveat: the designers have to get their own model. He believed us choosing a model that symbolized our fashion philosophies,

    Anime Recs from 2016

Was a bit bored this morning so I decided to do this. A few of these were big time shows that created a bunch of hype, and some will be underrated gems. Also, I'll just do ones that started in 2016, so no sequels. One more also, I'll link to scenes rather than posting them here for the sake of those with not so great internet.

Little writing excerise: Celestia's Oldest Friend

The tea set was out, and both cups were ready; hers with extra sugar, his without any additives. He always did prefer bitter drinks. She glanced outside as the night sky. It'd be a few hours before dawn, and all was quiet. Celestia fluffed up her feathers, fore it always seemed to grow colder upon his arrival.

Fellow Rainbow Dash fans, chill. Seriously, relax.

I don't know when it started happening, possibly around the time of Tanks for the Memories, but other Rainbow Dash fans have gotten way over zealous in defending her. Fans like that have been fairly common since the show began, sadly enough. First it was that Fluttershy was just the most fragile snowflake ever and if anyone didn't treat her in the gentlest way possible then they were a monster.

A slight misshap. · 8:02pm Oct 5th, 2014

In case you're wondering why you might have recieved word of a Kinds of Love update and why it's back in the feature box, I accidentally put a chapter meant for Kinds of Love: The World into Kinds of Love. My mistake. Nothing to see here folks. Sorry.

They will never find the body.

My hopes... they have been dashed against the rocks. :fluttercry:

There needs to be some way to correct this sort of error. Yeah, sure, deleting the accidental chapter gets rid of that but it hardly un‐features the story it was added to; some folks are vindictive enough to down‐vote stories over accidents like this. :trixieshiftright: (Not that I give a rat’s arse about whether an author gets butthurt or not over these drive‐by down‐votes; I, as a reader, detest letting ephemeral issues skew voting — a story’s up‐vote–down‐vote ratio is meaningless enough thank you.)

Thankfully that didn't happen. It did get one more downvote but it also got a group of upvotes about about twenty new faves. And likely helped to advertise my other stories, including the sequel the chapter was meant for. It's not something I'd want to do again, but it turned out fine.

You’re relatively lucky then. Still, even a single down‐vote can ensure a not‐insanely‐popular story won’t see the feature box again for a long time when other authors simultaneously decide to crank out a few thousand horsewords. The insanely popular stories (i.e., those with a thousand up‐votes and less than seventy‐five down) can weather a single down‐vote — unless they happen to update at the same time as three other stories of greater popularity they wouldn’t be affected and odds are that once you hit popularity of that calibre new favourites and likes from the feature box are a drop in the bucket compared to word of mouth and trawling other people’s favourites.

Yeah. If Kinds of Love wasn't as successful that downvote would have hurt. But as it stands, it's still 1605 likes to 49 dislikes. Not a huge deal.
