Hey folks, readers and followers of Rebirth Through Fire. So, seeing with how long it's been with this story, I thought I'd go ahead and give you the good and bad news.
Bad News - No clue when I'll work on this.
Good News - I have definite plans for this story, and a potential sequel or couple of arcs, depending on how things play out.
As you all know, I literally jammed this entire thing out in almost a two, maybe three week period. It was something amazingly short, when my entire life seemed consumed with writing. Afterwards, I hit burnout, and since then my writing has been sporadic at best, and that's putting it politely. At the moment I'm focusing on my FeMale story, but I figured I would go ahead and share some plans for this story, so that you know that yes, I am not going to simply disappear on you all.
This started out as a simple idea, with no definite ending in mind. I still don't know how I pulled out almost 60k with no idea, making things up minute by minute while originally writing it. Things were leaning a bit heavily towards the mystery and adventure aspect of things. I'll probably end up unpublishing the last chapter, perhaps two, and scale down the whole shoving romance in your face that went on. I've got another arc for adventure planned out that explores the phoenix culture a bit more, and continues to reveal a bit more of the mystery behind the protagonist.
If you have any questions, please ask away. I just wanted to give a bit of word, as I realized I haven't really replied to any of the comments on the story in ages, and I haven't really addressed it in a story tagged blog in, well, ever.

Question, do Jason and Philomena ever have children? Like does Philomena stay a human or Jason become a Phoenix permanently?

From what I remember of the story, Celestia stated that the change was permanent since Jason & Philomena's magics had mixed to the point where they were both hybrids, and nothing would change them back to being purely human or purely phoenix without killing them. Permanently.

The change is indeed permanent, the whole psuedo human/phoenix bit going on. I think I claimed that low magic or something would leave them as a bird should they die at the time. I'm actually reading it again right now, since I honestly don't remember much of anything, sadly.
And kids? Certainly a possibility.
