Vogon Biotechnologies
Making Fantasies a Reality one Customer at a time
To our Loyal Customers:
Thank you for choosing Vogon Biotechnologies. We are pleased to bring you the very best in service. As our Mission statement says, we are here to ensure that your fantasy becomes a reality. With this in mind our company president wishes to have a bit of a Q and A session with everyone. He would like to address any concerns, and or praises for the quality of work being produced. It is his sole wish that our product doesn't cause any Discord, but instead instills a sense of Harmony.
It is for that reason he is going to set up a session with a few happy customers, and of course their help/life mates.
Thank you,
The Staff here at Vogon Biotechnologies.
(Yes sir, this is a certified, bonafide, and real Vogonverse Q and A session. Ask any of the already established characters anything you'd like to, and they will answer. Of course remember a few basic rules. Be respectful to other participants. That's really the only serious rule. Well, that and please, one question per post.
Thanks,
LF)
(I'll be holding another Vogonverse Q and A session before long. Actually I plan on holding the next one around the wedding chapter... Consider it the reception, and your chance to talk with the happy couple. Thanks again!
LF)
How do you create your "products", and how do you give them their memories? What are some of the other franchises you've done this for? How did the company start?
Vogon Representative: Thank you for your question! First, how we create our products is a trade secret. I do wish that we could let you in on what goes into the creations of the living fantasies that we offer to our clients, but unfortunately that information is known only to the President of the company, and of course our dedicated Biotechnications.
The memories however can be explained, limitedly, but somewhat...
Pinkie: Explain what?
Vogon Representative: Oh my... This is unexpected... I thought that these feeds were set for one individual at a time.
Pinkie: HI! Wow... I'm Pinkie Pie, and We've never met, which means that I need to throw you a welcome to Ponyville party, except this isn't Ponyville. Andy, where is this again?
Andy: Oklahoma City sweetheart.
Pinkie: Right it's Oklahoma City... hehe that's funny, They named the capital after the state. I mean that would have been so funny if Canterlot was called Equestria City! But I need to throw you a Party! We need cake, streamers, and... Andy?
Andy: Yes?
Pinkie: Do you think that Mr. Anderson would let us borrow the Arcade?
Andy: I don't know... Pinkie who are you talking to? Igor, what's going on?
Igor: Master, I am afraid that I am uncertain. Somehow the Madam has obtained administrative permissions to Vogon Biotech's Help center.
Vogon Representative: Okay... Anyway, the source material is studied as closely as possible. From the source Material the bases of the personality is created, and then layers of memories are inserted. Unfortunately beyond that is a trade secret.
Pinkie: I love secrets!
Knowing that your creations are usually based off of show series, movies, etc, it must be rather difficult to get permission from the creators to create you tech. Especially since they may be used as life partners

Vogon Representative: Actually, it's not as hard as you may think. Most of the intellectual properties we have acquired are either from now closed and no longer operating companies, or have entered into the realm of free use. However, the companies that are still operating and holding onto the intellectual properties of their characters we attempt to make a deal that will benefit both parties. Unfortunately this doesn't always work, which why there are no main Disney Characters walking around. We are still attempting to broker a deal with them, but it unlikely we will see any of their characters available in the near future.
Our main problem is the anit-human creation acts. Unfortunately we are unable to make pure humans from various works of fiction.
I have a question for Jessica.
Hey, Jessica, when you first ordered Big Macintosh, just how skeptical were you about how accurate or feasible the Vogon service was going to be?
And for Big Mac, besides Pinkie, and your sisters, who else from Ponyville have you contact with?

Jessica: To be completely honest I wasn't sure if the ad was real, or if it was a scam. I almost figured that it was going to be a scam of some kind, but I just had to know. I've been so lonely for so long, and I knew that Big Mac was the kindest male I've ever seen on the show. I was really surprised, but there is something that does bother me a little. Since I've been with him, since I've come to know him... It doesn't feel right how I got him. I love him, but I'm kind of having a problem with the idea of them being sold. They're sapient beings, able to love, to feel, and them being bought and sold feels... I feel like a hypocrite, but it feels wrong.
Big Macintosh: Ain't been anypony else yet. Ah'm hoping to see some more of the Apple Family, and Ah know that Jessica would love them.

I was just asking for generalities, not technical details that would constitute company secrets.
Are there any companies that offer similar creations?
2457637
Actually there is. There's two. Vivid Nightmares and Fantastic Dreams. Both are in the business of making helpmates, but neither of them have the ponies. Fantastic Dreams has several alien races found in various Science Fiction movies, comics, and anime.
Vivid Nightmares focuses on the macabre. Their big sellers are the Rule 62 Slenderman and R.E. Nemesis.

Will, as it sits the idea of creating a straight out of the gates pony isn't foreign to us. We thought about doing it, but in truth we want our helpmates to be accepted by humanity. It appears that humanity is more receptive when something is similar to them.
