    I come with glad tidings!

Better late than never, eh? At this rate I should be halfway done with the story by the time Infinity Wars, Part 1 comes out!

An explanation -- and an apology

Too many times has an amateur writer embarked upon a large-scale project, determined to finish in a timely manner; too many times has that writer then left their project to languish without explanation. I'm never happy when I see such a thing happen to writers and stories I enjoy, and so I recognize the unfortunate irony that I find myself in such a position.

    I thought I didn't even qualify

I'm proud and pleased as punch to announce that An Old-Fashioned Notion is now featured on Equestria Daily.

Now, as my pre-reader just informed me, onto the next chapter! :p

How much dark energy did it take to conjure you here? · 7:23pm Sep 4th, 2014

I'm unfortunately pressed for time at the moment; otherwise I would throw myself at the mercy of my readers.

I realize I've been remiss in updating AOFN. However, this delay has not gone to waste. With the assistance of the wonderful Lannakitty, I took the time to revise this story so that it reads faster, smoother, and more clearly. Because of the breadth of the content, this process was quite involved, but I hope it will make future readings far more interesting.

That being said, I still owe everyone a chapter. I can begin working in earnest now that the revisions are thoroughly in the rear-view mirror. I would like to have a new chapter out by the end of the month -- but please don't quote me on it!

In the meantime I recommend anyone who has already read the story thus far to take a gander at the previous chapters again.
