I like writing ponies. And violent explosions. For some reason, that's not a problem here.

Okay, Okay, I'm cool, I'm cool... · 7:02am Aug 26th, 2014

Sort of. Not really. I guess.

Okay, so maybe I got a little delete-happy back there. That was my bad. Just, over the last chapter, people have been announcing their leaving the fic as if I was supposed to throw a farewell party for them. There was something that struck me as so egotistical about that, so incredibly childish, something along the lines of "I'M TAKING MY BALL AND I'M GOING HOME BECAUSE YOU'RE NOT PLAYING THE GAME BY MY RULES SO THERE." And then one of those users (not naming who, don't even bother asking) had the audacity to also throw a backhanded, sarcastic comment in there about my apparent lack of writing ability, and I just saw red. I absolutely lost my shit, what can I say? Was I supposed to just stand there and let that comment sit there, this user telling me I had no writing ability at all? Just seriously leave that there? Right on top of that bratty little announcement of unfaving (which I have never seen before on another fic, I don't know why mine is getting singled out). I dunno.

I'm not rescinding my earlier statement: comments about unfaving will be deleted. Repeat offenders will still be blocked. Critiques and constructive criticism are always welcome. If you're unfaving, that's fine, you can give a reason why, just try not to mention that you're unfaving in that criticism. Seriously, that doesn't make me pay attention to your criticism more. It just feeds my hatred for all sapient life on this planet and sends me to my dark place.

You don't want me to go to my dark place.

All I'm asking for is that when you critique, try to write as if I'm not a mouth-breathing retard who deserves all the hatred in the world? Like I'm an intelligent human being like yourself? Like a few mistakes or plot holes in my writing aren't a good reason to bring down the almighty wrath of the silver tongue upon my head? That would be nice.

Oh god, I haven't read the new chapters yet.:twilightoops:

Yeah, people are dicks.
*Internet hug*

The only problem I have is with the reaction of Shining, didn't he get the memo that this was another Equestria, that means another Twilight, another Celestia, was he sleeping during that part of the briefing?
But I will stick with the story to the bitter end.
Also I didn't like how he can assault a foreign dignitary (even if the dignitary is under arrest) and have zero consequences.

2402176 Well the point is he is himself a foreign dignitary, so they can't done anything to him. maybe he will have consequences, but only political one, and much, much later, and only if this thing go to media.

I don't know how about you, but if the same sonoftheb**, who killed/turned half of your population is in front of you, you kinda may let go few things that are against rules.

(Sorry for my poor English. It is not my native.)

Hugs. Ignore them, we are still here

The more you talk about them, the more power you give them. Don't delete the posts, don't respond to them, just ignore anyone rude and abusive.

Also, I think you write well. SO THERE.

Alright, thanks all! This is me just trying to keep things moving with these chapters, yeah? Hang in there!

I'm going to assume that XenoShining has been broken into becoming a straight-up villain until the story proves differently.

I am trying my best to be civil with everything, and the last thing I want is for this story to stall out because of personal issues.

2402705 And you doing this great. I am waiting for next chapter.

2402769 Actually, it's going quite well! I figured the reactions to this chapter would be as such, and was terrified to post it, but now it's a weight off my mind! I got a thousand words or so into the next chapter and a pretty good idea of what I want for the next few chapters, so no worries people!

I think the problem and why readers get angry is very simple.

You're at what, chapter 10, 11? And the plot has STILL not moved from 'Celestia & Twilight captured and on an aircraft carrier'. This is frigid, absolutely glacial pace and you consistently end all of your chapters on cliffhangers.

Tease your readers sufficiently and eventually, they'll lose their patience. Which is exactly what is happening: they are losing their patience. You've been posting chapter after chapter that could be summarized in something like 50 words in any other story.

The end result is that when so little is happening, when you do post something questionable, people will be very quick to jump upon it and get angry about it because, well, they wait and wait and wait and said badly writen event is *all that happens*. With it being stretched over *multiple chapters*. So when you post something bad, not only is it all we get but it's all we get for multiple chapters, making it that much more difficult to tolerate.

Basically, you're reaching the point where it doesn't matter how good of a writer you are. At this point, you're taunting your readers more than you're entertaining them and they're not amused anymore.

I mean... how long will your fic be if you keep that pattern up? Five hundred chapters, a thousand chapters? I know my advice to so many writers is to slow down, detail things more... but in your case, my advice is the opposite: get on with it, speed up the pace.

2402972 Hopefully, that's what I'm about to do.

So this arsehole said you had no writing ability?
You have great writing ability, I mean, look at This god damned fic

2403058 What the hell did I just skim?

I think your story just earned a fav from me before I've even started reading it. F**k those people. It's your story to do what you want with. They don't like it, they can go. Quietly.

Maybe I'm weird, but seeing comments of people leaving the story makes me want to read it more: I want to know why they left. That's probably just me though. I'm a bit crazy. Anyway, keep on writing!

And people are meant to care about this, why? Fics have haters, haters can sometimes be d-bags, d-bags piss people off. I get it. That's no excuse for going all street nazi and deleting comments across the board. That, is childish.

2407105 Eh, I saw red. It happens.

2407166 "It happens" ain't really an excuse, but you're the one that wasted your time making a blog post (I have no idea why people use that useless feature; if you want to tell strangers useless shit, you may as well use Tumblr, a truly flourishing brony community resides there). Anyways, I'm only here because my global notification brought me here. In a similar (though less repugnant form) way that google+ notifies you of every single upvote and comment reply.

2409322 Google+ notifies you of every upvote? Oh Christ, suddenly I'm glad I never got into it. Made up an account, but it sorta just sits there, and I think that's how it should remain for the time being.

2409324 Never use it. Never subscribe to people. Never comment. Never like something. Google will hound you until the day you die otherwise. Or just ignore notifications...

I personally am along the same lines with Zerodius, as it is getting a little repetitive reading small actions in the same location for about 8 chapters straight. Don't get me wrong, setting up the main plot points is a good idea, but you can only stretch it out for so long before the readers start getting antsy and lashing out at every little problem they can see. Especially with this version of Shining, who I'm not particularly fond of, but I'll keep my opinions on him to myself.

But the point is, don't drag it out for to long without anything plot relevant happening, or you'll get the same thing that happened with the Diamond/Pearl/Platinum run of the pokemon anime. I E, to much filler, not enough plot.

2402972 Oh by the way, I absolutely adore that profile pic. I just want to hug so bad, why can't Pokemon be real, why:raritydespair:....................................................................................................
