Back home, writing, kicking names, and taking ass again...wait (spoilers! Wait till you read the last three chapters.)

So, if you're probably wondering what the hell took me so long to submit a chapter when I submitted three just now. Well...when I got home I had a lot to do. Went to my brothers wedding, had to adjust my sleep schedule because there was a tweleve hour time difference, and also I changed the ending like three times. The story was going to end the same way it did just now but I had different ways of how it was going to happen. Even though I say it in the title, here's one last warning. Spoiler Alert. Okay, so originally I was going to kill off Rainbow Shine instead of Storm. I decided to change it because in the actual series Rainbow Shine is there. Now there really isn't any confirmation that Rainbow Shine is really Rainbow Dash's mother but...she kind of standing right next to her in this picture.

That's who I based Rainbow Dash's mother on. I didn't really tag a picture to her in the story because there are just too many versions of what she looks like. I felt that giving her an image would kind of kill the imagination of the reader, so I just left it be.

Storm, I killed him off because I needed a legit reason for Nimbus to carry a burden for not wanting to stay. Yeah, I had Rainbow Shine tell him to leave but I needed a stronger reason. Plus, we don't ever see an ( theoretical) image of Rainbow Dash's father except for that flashback she has. There's no evidence that he's really alive, so I used that to my advantage.

If you payed attention in the last chapter, you'll see a character who only got her name mentioned. Nora was somepony I REALLY wanted to add in the story. I LOVE creating new spells/ideas as you could kind of tell in the chapter where Sky Forge comes into the story. I needed a character who had strong curiosity and determination for creativity. Now, Nora went through some designs before I finalized her. At first she was going to be a pony who always second best because of Twilight Sparkle, but I threw that out the window because that sounded too much like a fan based Trixie. I was goign to make her blind too, but one of my friends called her "a unicorn snowdrop" even though they had nothing in similar except that they would both be blind. Since I hated that label so much, I killed it. I went with a Celestia School dropout because I think it showed my opinion of how high standard Celestia's school is. Nora can do all this crazy stuff but because she can't perform a elementary level spell, she's no good.

I brought up Sky Forge again because I wanted to remind everyone she's still one of Nimbus's other few friends. I didn't really make her do a whole lot now but she DOES play a much bigger role in the sequel. I kind of regret making her a mare now because up to this point every friend Nimbus has is female. It makes it look like he has a harlem or something. He doesn't but I don't want everyone getting the wrong idea. I'll fix it though.

I only introduced Twilight Sparkle briefly because if Nimbus was going to the Canterlot Library, he'd have to run into her, otherwise I would have made him fly to a different Library. I chose to put a underground part of the library in my fanfic to show there are things I think Equestria hides. We only see so much in the show. Who knows what else is around there? We know there's SOME sort of underground life in Equestria. How do you want to explain Diamond Dogs and the Crystal Caves underneath Canterlot? Somepony put them there.

As you probably noticed, I put two songs in my story that were made by underground artist. I am by no means trying to claim that as my own. I wanted to give everyone a kind of cool idea as to where the inspiration comes from. I wish now I chose something to play for the Manticore but I might go back and do that later.

There are a lot of things I want to cover about my absence and the chapters I just wrote but I think I hit most everything BIG i wanted to. I'm totally open for criticism or what you think about the story. ALSO, I listen to a lot of music when I'm writing. Mainly rock and stuff because, HELL, I'm writing a Rainbow Dash fanfic! You know she's into rock and metal and stuff. Certain type of music give me that "feel" I need to add to the story. That's why I used "Find You" at the very end. It's pretty sentimental and has a cool sound to it, which how I imagine the story to be.

This is all I got for today. Just waiting to see everyone's reaction to the new chapters and edit what needs to be fixed, then I'll start on the first chapter(s) of the new sequel. See you all next time.
