I’m sorry to everyone who put faith in me, to everyone who thought I’d finish My Unexpected Gift. I’d be fooling myself if I said I believed without a shadow a doubt that I’d finish. Most of my thoughts never leave my mind. Only thirty-eight of the over three hundred pony story ideas that actually escaped my mind and got jotted down were ever fleshed into something that I could something I could use as part of a story. Only fifteen of those were ever completed. As in, only five percent of the ideas that actually flow out of my mind, not counting drafts and chapters for the same story, ever reach their full potential.
I’ll leave the story up. Write your own chapters if you want. I’m not. After I post this, I’m never logging into this site again.
Anyway, as you have probably guessed by now, I’m saying goodbye. My honest to goodness last act as a member of this fandom. It’s called Confessions of an Ex-Pegasis and it is probably the only completely true fanfic you’ll ever find, it should probably be considered nonfiction. It’s a memoir of these last few months, since I realized I was falling. Anyway, it will soon be found at my Fiction Press user page. I'd wait till I posted the first chapter, but I know I'd lose my nerve. It’s my final act of love before I walk away forever, my final piece. I shall finish this clean, even if it kills me. I don’t know if you’ll care or not about what I say, but please remember this.
I love all of you and I’ll never forget what you gave me. These lessons on friendship shall stay with me as long as I’m breathing. Always love and tolerate. Don't let anything change that, please.
