Hey babe, what's your number? · 2:37am Aug 11th, 2014
Inspired by the concept of an Erdos number, I tried tracking various authors' electreXcessive numbers. electreXcessive himself gets a 0, all nineteen writers he's collaborated on a story with get a 1, all writers they've collaborated on a story with get a 2, and so on. I thought it would be a fun little game, and I figured I'd run out of collaborators somewhere around 4.
When I realized Ponyman has an electreXcessive number of 8, I decided I was getting in over my head.
If nothing else, it's fun to draw up the connections between various authors in this fandom. I'll dump my incomplete data below. (If anyone's curious about my methodology, I've got a writeup for it, but I'm not sure if anyone will care.)

Oh God, where do I fall on this chain of madness?
lol jk
2359992 You do a lot of editing, but I can't think of anyone you've co-written with.
Though actually . . . you were involved in Fimfiction Writes Ponies!, weren't you? I didn't include it because it would pretty much make the data explode.
2360130
I was going to ask about the epic of Apep. I imagine it would cause massive statistical distortions.
2360155 I didn't include The Album, either, since it looked like each person wrote their part almost independently. (It would branch off a lot of new paths if included.)
2360130 There was that as well as a few others. Look on my profile page if you want to see them all.
2360195 Oh, you co-wrote with RainbowBob? That gives you a number of 3.
It also means Obsolescence and TwilightBestPony have 4. I think Obsolescence co-wrote some other stuff . . .
Hold on, I'll add a little more data.
Edit: Data added, though I guess I'm still excluding Obsolescence.
2360201 So, is having a higher number a good or bad thing?
2360263 The lower the number, the closer you are to electreXcessive. A lot of the stories he's co-written are kind of silly, so a number of 1 mostly (but not exclusively) means silly writers. Anything higher, and it depends on how you're connected--a 3 through Chuckward has very different implications than a 3 through RainbowBob.
2360274 Interesting . . .
