I've usually had a new chapter by now, so I think it's time for an update.
Basically, it's been slow going, but I've made it to a better spot. However, I've gotten wrapped up in Skyrim as of the past few days and may continue to be so for a little while yet.
Part of the slowness is the size. Chapter 10 is going to dwarf most other chapters. It might even end up twice the size of chapter 4 (don't count on it, but with at least one big scene (the whole point of the chapter) left, a scene or more to transition into it, and the final scene, it could turn out pretty big considering it's already about 6-7k).
And then there's Skyrim. Beautiful, glorious modded Skyrim. Hearing some Wildstar guildies playing got me feeling like playing, and my first proper playthrough with awesome mods and without some game-crippling mod-related bug is pretty awesome.
Except for perhaps today, I'm still doing at least a little story work daily, but I'm starting to think of this as the break I said I'd take a couple weeks ago. I won't go taking a BREAK break until the chapter is finished (and once I do finish it, I'll probably whoosh right into the next one because my brain is weird), but this chapter may be another week or two away from publishing.
Edit: Cutting off the last paragraph I had here to add that... Well, content-wise, there's plenty of Skyrim left, but I get the feeling that it won't be long before I'm doing what I have been with Wildstar: allocating time for both in the same day. And such. Like, right now, whenever I actually think on my current place in the chapter I feel eager to work on it. So it's there. My whims will probably just fluctuate. lol
But still, as I've said ever since my little run of consistency started around chapter 3: One can only focus all their effort on one thing for so long. Again, blah blah breather blah. I keep repeating myself.
MEH. Edit over.
