Byting Back- Episode One · 2:45am Jul 31st, 2014

Hello everypony, and welcome to the first episode of "Byting Back." In this series, I will be commentating on every episode of "Byter's Bits," a multi-part review series of one of the best episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, "Sleepless In Ponyville." Now let me start by saying that this is the worst review of anything I have ever seen in my entire life. Alright, let's jump right in.

(0:40) Wow, you're an egotist!

(2:30) This. . . this has to be a joke, right? I mean, you'd have to be mentally insane to scrutinize something so. . . He is serious?

Hey Mr. Enter, can I borrow one of your memes for a second?

Thanks.

Okay, Byter, I wanna ask you politely and nicely. . .what did you think was gonna happen here? Did you think that people would all just see the "brilliance" in your analysis of the "coin toss scene"? Did you think we'd all be like, "Byter picked apart the coin tossing scene! What a genius! What amazing skills he has! We should all hold him up above all other Brony Analysts! Let's send him money! Let's nominate him for the Presidency because he's sooooooooooo smart."

Byter, listen to me, tossing coins while moving with your eyes closed is hard. It is not impossible. If someone were to practice it for hand-eye coordination or something, they could probably do it two or three times before dropping them, which Rainbow Dash does. And Rainbow Dash, being an athlete, must have good hoof-eye coordination. Enough to pull off this trick for the two or three times it's shown.

And another thing, this scene actually does add to the story. Rainbow Dash will be the center of the plot along with Scootaloo, so they want to bring attention to her right away. And since Scootaloo's mindset is that Rainbow Dash is awesome, then it makes sense for the animators and writers to put in Rainbow Dash doing a difficult trick with her eyes closed to punctuate how awesome she is. "Oh wow, she can toss coins with her eyes closed while moving! Rainbow Dash really is awesome!"

And furthermore, this quick scene was barely three seconds long! You can blink and miss it! Why the hay does this bother you so much!? You do realize that you are the only being in the entire universe that is bothered by this, don't you? Or maybe you just simply hate this episode so much that you're desperately trying to nitpick on the tiniest things you can find, even if they don't matter in the slightest?

(3:55) Byter, this episode is going to have an ongoing theme of exaggerated cartoon physics. In this episode, Scootaloo "sleep-scooters" through danger, jumps 20 feet in the air when scared, and other Looney Toon-esque things. So by having scenes like this in the intro, it gets us ready for the looney tone of the episode and the wacky hijinks to come.

(4:02) She's just a little kid!

(4:40) Since the Showstoppers, I'm pretty sure Scootaloo has visited with the Apple Family a number of times, and has scooted through Ponyville a number of times. Granny Smith knows Scootaloo better, and knows about her skills. So, Granny Smith trusts Scootaloo more, and wants to add to her fun. Also, you failed to mention that Granny had a walker in the Showstoppers, but is walking without one now. This means that Granny Smith is healthier now, and if fine with adding to the filly's fun and feeding into her life-long passion.

(4:56) Stop blowing things out of proportion. Tossing coins into the air and catching them isn't impossible. Scootaloo didn't hurt anyone. Granny Smith trusts Scootaloo's skills. It's not that serious. It's not that dire.

(5:10) Physics in a world of magic. . . okay. . . Also, did you also factor in the properties of a pegasus' body and the lift from Scootaloo's wings Mr. Physics Professor?

Portal 2 Announcer:"Sarcasm Sphere Self-Test Complete."

(6:35) We don't know if either Dash or Scoots were moving in a straight line the whole time. They could have made a few turns off-screen. And we have no way of knowing exactly how fast they were going, or for how long. Also, this is Rainbow Dash we're talking here. She's trained so hard, she probably could fly really fast while balancing that drink on her chest, which she obviously bought with those coins you are so obsessed with.

And Dash knows that Scoots is her number one fan, so she thought, "I think I'll make the Squirt's day by giving her a compliment. She'll really like that! Plus, she deserves it. Her stunts are awesome." Again, this is Rainbow Dash we're talking about, she's all about reckless stunts. This is the mare that wanted Applejack to launch her off of a catapult.

(7:40) Kiss my Cutie Mark you Strawman. This intro sets up the wacky cartoon physics based tone of the episode. Oh Celestia, just wait until you get to those parts. You'll go crazy. . .uh. . .crazier. Also, wouldn't it be kinda dumb for us to start at the scene where Scootaloo is talking about Dash's compliment without letting us see the scene and context that surrounds said compliment?

Byter, please just stop, you are not cut out for this.

This would be funnier as a Mystery Science Theater. You should totally record your voice over his terrible review and then release it as a video.

You know I think its best to ignore byter now. This is the reaction he wants which only make his point stronger.
