I was recently accepted as a reviewer for the group WRITE. I haven't ever bothered with groups like these before, but I was impressed with several reviews I found a few weeks ago and looked them up. They are a thorough bunch and have a lot of members who have been around here for quite awhile, so they seem to know their stuff.
Upon being approved for the group, I learned that the number of stories submitted for their review has been lower than it's ever been these last few months. So if you're interested in getting a solid review on a story of yours, one that's direct and touches on each aspect of your skills in writing, then look them up. I'm sure they would welcome getting a few more submissions.
I've heard you mention this group in the past, but never actually knew who or where they were. Now I know, I have them bookmarked, and I can start submitting review requests.
But since you're already one of my pre-readers, would there be some kind of conflict if you happened to get hold of one of my stories?

Nope, i would just take a more objective look at the structure than i usually do with you to avoid rewrites. But you have been pretty good and you already know my taste in stories pretty well by now from all my nagging, so i'm sure you want a new opinion. You can request specific reviewers if you want and they consider doing it based on their preferences, and technically i can review any story myself under the name of the group with author permission and it still gets posted in our folders.
Congrats, dude. I've gotten a few reviews from WRITE in the past, and in my experience, the feedback is second to none.

I found them through a review by Pascoite, who is particularly good. And joining their skype forums was surprisingly eventful considering how old they are as a group. Was worth it so far, I say.
Hmm, you're the newest WRITE member? Do you think you could give me some advice on how to do reviews they would accept? When I tried, the admin was all like: "Sorry, boyo, but you're not reviewing, you're just editing the story."

Just look up the reviews in the group folders. Study the structure the reviewers use and look up anything they talk about that you don't understand. Just do your homework.
You must have at least gone through the folders to have found me on my blog. According to the forum, applicants get several chances to apply as well as feedback. I'm sure Burraku gave you some pointers as well before any rejection came.

He did, but more help is never a bad thing. I could ask you to look over my review and say what I can change, but that would be a lot to ask. Still, thanks for your time and your advice.

I'm not opposed to looking it over, send me a link if you have it. But i'm thinking that this might be a question of effort or something more general like that if you have already used up all of your chances to apply and haven't gotten in from the advice they gave you.
