This post isn't just about le art, but first things first:

You guys remember how Wisp's cutie mark was kind of technically definitely stolen? Well, no more. Finally, at long last, it has happened:

    Kinda big news (rewriting)

So last night I spent a good several hours talking with a couple friends about Fireflank. At first it was about a few important things I might change about the story at large (and most particularly my concerns that I may allow Wisp to come off as "too" talented magically), but as things progressed and more input was given, I became convinced that it would indeed be in my best interests to go over

    I'm horrible

So I was working on Fireflank. I really was. But then Fallout: Eclipse sucked me in until I was done with its first chapter and I'm terrible.

The Tiniest Update - Fireflank Time

Eighth chapter, brah. · 10:27pm Jul 17th, 2014

Up it goes. So pretty.

Sometimes it strikes me just how little happens in all the time I spend writing (over a week or so, and only 3-4 scenes? blah), but I'm pretty happy with how this chapter came out, especially it's ending. The next chapter's beginning will pretty much write itself, and that's the best kind of writing.

But following up with last post, I am going to be taking things easy for a bit, maybe a good while. I'm no longer thinking I may really need a break, and am thinking more that I'll just let myself take things at a slower pace, but that may lend itself to some stretches of not-writing. Again, I feel like I should give myself the opportunity to recharge, so if I don't feel like writing, I won't force myself to. I mean, imagine if I just let my brain swim around in video games (and reading. Reading stimulates my writing thinks) for a while, then come back to pump out two chapters a week again? :duck:

Also, I do think I'll continue to just make a blog post for each new chapter. I don't know how much unread stuff is in anyone's favorites, but it's definitely been a mess for me before. Might as well make (relatively) sure you guys know what's up. lol
