Headcanon actually destroyed this time. I was a big fan of "Fluttershy is the author of Daring Do" (and also enjoyed entertaining the idea of Chrysalis or Gilda as author). I suppose there still is the possibility that the series isn't an autobiography, and Fluttershy(/Chrysalis/Gilda) is her biographer, but that's too convoluted for me...

If you're watching me, you like Changelings, right? -and if you like Changelings, then you probably read at least one of these, in which ponies as we know them don't exist--they're all (mostly) Changelings, and no one knows. Allow me to present the yet-to-be-recognized queen of them all: Deep Cover Confusion.

Don't be fooled by the "Comedy" and "Random" tags; this story takes the premise seriously where other stories are mere cheap, quick laughs. If you need convincing, skip to Luna's Arc. If your heart doesn't break, you must not have one to break.

Wow. Wow. I am in awe right now at how wonderful that story's readers are. The sheer amount of thoughtful and thought-provoking discussion in its comments section is just beautiful. Will definitely give this a read.
