So, if some of you have been really perceptive, you may have noticed that I haven't updated anything lately. The Advent of Applejack is fixing to turn a year old, and still it's nowhere near completed. There's a good reason for that, actually; a real, real bad case of writer's block. It's taken me months just to get a few thousand words that I'm remotely happy with, and it'll probably take me several thousand more to finish up satisfactorily. It's getting to the point where it's starting to become unhealthy and frustrating for me. I WANT to keep these stories going and get to some of the things I have planned, because that was the whole point to me writing them, dang it! But I've become so focused on them that no new ideas are flowing in, and now I'm just treading water, and I want to give you guys something to read over the coming 4th of July weekend while us yankees set about shooting colorful high explosive rockets into the air for fun. We're stupid like that.
So, for the sake of my rapidly dwindling sanity and (soon to be) receding hairline, I need to find something to redirect myself into for a while... something to unclog the pipe, as it were; something different and fresh that I can experiment with and just let flow off the tip of my fingers. Something my non-shipping fans can get into (since I kinda feel like i gave you guys the cold shoulder).
I just wish I had someone or something to give me a little inspiration...
... Yeah, yeah that might do.
Hey, if I can take a tired old concept like "X = Changeling" and apparently do an alright job with it, let's see what I can manage with a crossover with something near and dear to my twisted little heart. Feel free to leave your opinions below, field any questions, and let's see what becomes of this little thing, shall we?

I'm trying, believe me. I thought I'd be okay after I went and saw How To Train Your Dragon 2 monday, too. The overarching conflict behind Hiccup is pretty much exactly what I'm trying to do with Applejack, and the inspiration it gave me did me good... for a while. I think I just need to step back for a little bit before I go crazy and put myself to work on something else for a while.

Yeah, thanks for the 411. I guess the "Christmas" story really isn't going to finish up before the next Christmas hits. That said, as long as it does finish, that is all that is important.
