This post isn't just about le art, but first things first:

You guys remember how Wisp's cutie mark was kind of technically definitely stolen? Well, no more. Finally, at long last, it has happened:

    Kinda big news (rewriting)

So last night I spent a good several hours talking with a couple friends about Fireflank. At first it was about a few important things I might change about the story at large (and most particularly my concerns that I may allow Wisp to come off as "too" talented magically), but as things progressed and more input was given, I became convinced that it would indeed be in my best interests to go over

    I'm horrible

So I was working on Fireflank. I really was. But then Fallout: Eclipse sucked me in until I was done with its first chapter and I'm terrible.

The Tiniest Update - Fireflank Time

Just letting it be known that I'm now focusing again on Fireflank, having decided it best to work on the story that's actually at a fully writable stage. Doing at least a little bit every day.

Okay, so, that's a big chapter... And the tail end of it was tiring me out. lol

I think it had more to do with having few to no ideas what to do with things until the next chapter lets me skip a bit to more interesting times...

But still. I can't say for sure I won't write ANYTHING, but I think I'm gonna take a little break. At least a week or something. I have been hard at work (though mostly very easy work) for nearly 2 weeks, and dry spot or no, I feel like there's at least a bit of tiredness at play here, too.

I really don't see this being another "kkbai" for upwards of 3 months. Things are very much different this time; I'm feeling great about the state of things, and confident in my ability to move forward. I just need allow my batteries a chance to recharge, lest I yet again make the mistake if overdoing it.

However long I'm gone, perhaps check out In a Tavern, Down by the River and its author Lysis a look, as linked in this chapter 6 author's note (it's 5 am, I'm not hyperlinking those again). If I'm any good, he's great. :derpytongue2:

(Though I've only read Tavern and unpublished and unfinished Greyfeather, as of yet,)
