So It Begins...

I am finally starting my first story. I have had a few ideas bouncing around in my noggin for a while now, so time to put pen to paper. Or fingers to keyboard, as it were. My first story will be entitled I, Dragon. This will take place after season 4. I will be using D&D for general guidelines for my OC, a bronze dragon named Sparky. When I have completed the prologue and first chapter to my liking, I will submit the story. I will contact a few of the folks here I know for prereading. I would like to have a good outline done before I go that far though. Thus far, my prologue is pretty well fleshed out and my first chapter is about halfway there. I am having a lot of fun and I look forward to the reactions of the readers I hope to attract. Not bad for 2 days of work thus far. I will update the story as I am able, but given my job and family, an infrequent schedule is the best I can offer. There are a few things I can promise: I will not ship my OC, and there will be no HiE from me. Ever. I have read those fics, and while I do find some of them entertaining. I just cannot bring myself to do it. There will be elements of humor, but over all this is a Slice of Life story. So, I am now putting myself out there. Time to turn my imagination loose onto all of you and see where it takes us.
