Welcome to this amorphous void that contains stories and comments of an indeterminate value. It's not all that pleasant here, really. I'd leave if I were you. This is the ass-end of literature.

A Requiem For An Update · 10:41am Jun 28th, 2014

Howdy, gang. Now before you go all "Who the fuck is this no-name, blowhard asshat, and why the fuck should I care? *exits browser*", just hear a nigga' out, 'kay? This is going to be a rather unorthodox post...in what may seem an already veritable ocean of unorthodoxy. Well, I plan on adding to The Weird, seeing as to how I seem to suffer from the come-and-go delusion that people find what I have to say universally interesting...that is...if one considers "strange" to also be "interesting." And faster than a coffeehouse hipster can shriek "Hey, come read my shitty blog!!", I've managed to supplant my past eccentricities with even stranger eccentricities in the form of errant blog posts intended for the consumption of the minute handful of people who still choose to continuously humor me for some....fucking reason. And oh, do I ever appreciate your doing so! Honestly. I really do appreciate you guys keeping with me up to this point. Despite the fact that you're only a tiny handful of souls, I find it immensely preferable to have said "handful" of earnest, loyal readers as opposed to a massive slew of "yes-men," hangers-on, and anime-addled weaboos haranguing me with requests to convert my stories into an aberrant mire of Wapanese, cross-over clopfic dreck. At least...that's what I tell myself at night...oh, God...so alone...*sob*

First off, I'd like to point out that the next chapter of Fractures is nearing release just as soon as my adorable, little friend, Karmadash, is done going over it with the fine-toothed comb that is her scathing, literary critique. (Please be gentle.) And just as soon as she gives me the green light, I'll have the chapter out to you fine people in just two shakes of a lamb's tail! (Tee-hee! *pan flute solo*) Also, the subsequent chapter is already halfway complete...so...yeah. You won't have to wait long for that one either. But then again...bear with me. Take it into consideration that this story is likely one of the longest on the entire site. Whether that's for good or ill, I can't honestly say. Probably ill...it's practically an attestation to my virtual lack of a real life. Nigga', that's straight depressin'.

And now for the unorthodoxy...seeing as to how this "update" is a modest consolation for having yet again no new chapter to offer, I extend to you all an invitation to take part with me in an experiment of sorts. In case you haven't yet noticed (and you likely haven't, what with my profile being virtually unknown to the masses), I've submitted some seemingly random posts replete with a piece of music and some pseudo-tragic, melodramatic-as-a-motherfucker poetic prose...of sorts. I know, I know. You're all thinking "Who d'ya' think you are? Walt Shitman? No one cares, fag." And that would be a harsh but admittedly fair assessment, seeing as to how you all likely find my style of narration to be either charmingly witty or really fucking annoying and pretentious. Both fair perceptions. But at the end of the day, you guys don't really know me, and I don't really know you. Albeit this is indeed my story, it's also all of yours. Those past blog posts...from which, you likely took the belief that I am batshit crazy...were basically meant to enhance the story's mood with a central motif...so it...ya' know...makes it so that it doesn't suck so much major ass for you guys to read. I wish to rectify this, be you all so inclined to humor me.

With music! I want to know what sort of music you fine people take to heart. *dons fedora* I personally believe that music is the most subjective, ergo the most telling, of all art forms, in that the listener forms a mental image and mood in his/her head while said music plays. Physical art, as in paintings and sculptures, are more static and objective in that the interpreter's ability to derive feeling from said art is limited to what he/she sees. Granted that this isn't completely true of all physical art and that some pieces of music have a well-established motif beforehand, but the general effect is still there. I think one's music that he/she holds dearly to a greatly personal degree is more telling of who he/she is than any psyche evaluation, dream journal, Twitter feed, autobiography, etc. *removes fedora* Basically...I propose that you fine people individually submit a list of your most beloved pieces of music. Let me clarify... Each of you can post your top five, ten, twenty, or even thirty tracks on either my user or story page. Here are the criteria/rules/addendums:

1.) You can choose any number of favored songs and post them in any order you like, so long as you have the songs' and artists' names clearly displayed.

2.) You don't have to choose a "favorite" song or list your songs accordingly. Any order is fine.

3.) Don't post songs you just "like." These are songs that haunt your dreams. They're an inherent part of you for whatever reason. This is about discerning what sort of music is apart of one's soul. One cannot do this, if one posts a bunch of tracks solely for sake of "digging the beat" and whatnot. These songs have to mean something to you on an exceedingly personal level.

4.) You can post brief or long descriptions of your take on each song, when you first heard it, why it means so much to you, etc. Or not. Your choice.

5.) There will be absolutely NO censorship of whatever you post. Any...absolutely any piece or genre of music is applicable here. I don't care if your favorite piece is about necrophilia and drinking goat blood. If it means something to you, by all means post it. Your songs can be as vulgar, disturbing, and wretched as you like. You can even post Maroon 5 or Nickelback...but I'd much rather you didn't...

6.) You can post Youtube links to your music or just list the name and artist. You needn't list the genre, album, etc., if you don't feel like it.

7.) I won't make any outright judgments of your musical tastes, and I'd appreciate it if everyone ascribed to the same philosophy. Music is subjective, albeit no one would claim that Justin Bieber surpasses Beethoven in worth. For example, a young woman might claim that the pan flute is the gayest instrument in human history, whereas a nearby gentleman may intercede by commenting that the piccolo is the gayest instrument in human history. Although they disagree with one another to some extent, they'd both likely agree that anyone who has dedicated a great deal of his life to mastering either of the aforementioned instruments very likely could fit the entire length and girth of a naval artillery shell up his rectum. Basically, both people can be wrong or right at the same time. So don't be a jerk.

8.) I'll post my own list for you guys when I get a chance.

9.) There's no time limit or restriction on this whatsoever. I know you guys are already busy as is. You can post your list whenever you feel is most convenient.

10.) In fact, you can not post at all, if you so choose. You can choose to entirely ignore this blog post and scoff at the absurdity of my suggestion being nothing more than a glorified "homework assignment." Fair enough. Your choice.

I know this seems pretty random and more than a bit strange, but I really think it'll elucidate one another's personalities and help to understand where he/she is coming from. And look at it this way...at the very least, we'll get to swap some music around to build up our playlists, right? Feel free to let me know what you guys think and if you're up to doing this.

Well...that's enough outta' the ole' windbag. I guess I'll take my Thorazine and hit the hay...

Hross out.

yahoo! a soon update!!!
on the other stuff... I can't help you with that, my humor and my preference for songs don't go hand in hand. neither I have a top N favorites, I just... like a song, listened a few days, add to my mp3 player then I put another one and so on. But it's an interesting concept nonetheless!

Awww, c'mon, baby girl. I know better. Everyone has a song that means something special to them. Just think about any piece of music you heard that's stayed with you long after hearing. You might not even like the song. It just evokes a great deal of meaning/emotion when you hear it.

2242121 nop, I live for the moment, I guess. because most of the song I have ever heard because my grandmother I have no idea what are their names. and I tend to forget them after I wake up...
ask me again in a few years! or aftew a few heavy thinking! what comes first :P

Then get to drinking, girl. Tequila is appropriate seeing as you're Mexican and all. I'm a Stolichnaya man myself.

2243526 I don't like alcohol, I can drink it, but I don't like it and if I don't like it, then what's the point? XD

" or aftew a few heavy thinking!"

Ohhhhh....I thought you said "heavy drinking." I must be going blind or something. My mistake. Disregard. English has foiled us again.

2245347 Jajajajajajajaja!!!!!!
You win, I have a song. it's called: "El tractor Amarillo" the yellow tractor. It's the song I use to wake up un sundays, my grandmom listen to the radio everyday, and every sunday since I was a kid played in the radio.
So there you have it. It's a song I'll always related to my grandma for the rest of my live!
