The Fate Of D=S-M · 5:11pm Jun 14th, 2014
Now as many of you know, or may not know, D=S-M is undergoing a re-edit. Or it was, as the more I dove into re-editing the first chapter, I came to realize several major flaws that me as the writer pretty punched me square in the face. Maybe that break of mine did help.
I stated previously that the re-edits of each chapter should not be a requirement to reread, as I was just "tweaking" the scenes and tidying it up... Now I am not so sure.
I see under used potential in developing Twilight's character further, the potential to add MORE characters in the opening chapters, and, well... I hope I wont upset anyone with this, but the entire fic is going to be completely overhauled.
What does that mean?
It means that while the storyline itself as you all know it will remain intact, I am going to add alot more to it, find an editor/proof reader to help me make it the best it can be, and for the love Celestia add more Dark Twilight moments to the whole thing.
The conspiracies and all of that jazz currently in the fic will not change either, but further development will be added to give you all something juicier to argue about.
Oh, also, Chasing Twilight's next chapter is going live TONIGHT.

not to be a dick but i simply can't stand when authors rewrites stories, mostly because i can't be bothered to reread the earlier chapters

2206720 true it would be like this one story on fanfiction that i can't remember the off, it was about a hundred chapters long and the author just deleted all of them and started over again. though i may try to read it when you post the new chapter one
2206759 I won't be going and doing as something as drastic as that, the outlining idea will be taking the plot as it is, and merely improving it, so the storyline is the same, but with more detailed content.
Either way, I hope it will make you happy, I know this will rub people up the wrong way somehow, but I KNOW I can make D=S-M better.

An overhaul of the entire story? I am intrigued. I really liked this story, I am curious as to what will be different.
2207795 It (I am hoping) will make the story far superior in terms of storyline... As I had mentioned in the blog, there was a lot of missed potential especially involving third parties and Twilight herself. I've had Lord Inquisitor/the guy that did the bonus chapter "Speaking Unto Nations" look over my re-vamped chapter one and helped me clear up the mess, and said in not so many words that the story did benefit. I am still seeking another editor in the mean time to really punish me in terms of grammar, but I doubt what I got will change much.
The next two days is going to be a massive task of me editing this monster, and again, like I said before, I want to push out the new chapter(s), because everyone gets to finally see the meat of this entire thing.
I just need to work hard and get the re-vamps done. I won't be posting the re-edits until every single chapter has undergone the process.
I can only hope my daughter doesn't steal all of my time.
