This blog serves more of a open-ended piece rather than have a goal. Well, that's kind of a lie. There's a reason why I'm blogging on a pony most probably don't care for. So let's get the promotion out of the way, shall we?

    Festivities

So, it's the beginning of December. We're fast approaching the end of 2014, and to get into the holiday moods, I've changed my avatar. I'm absolutely lazy, and after a few failures of trying to add some Santa hats to the twin dolphins, I gave up and settled for Winter Wrap Up Twilight instead.

Has anyone else spent about 2-3 hours making a blog, only to accidently click away from the page, being a moron throughout the entire thing by not copying the text into a safe place in case of such a mishap? And then of course, to lose ALL of it afterwards.

Well, that just happened to me.

So now I can't be as bothered as much. That blog I was making contained quite a lot but since I'm so ticked off at myself, I shall only put about half or less of it in this, trying the best I can to replicate what I had put in the previous one, even copying the elements I had in it too, but with MUCH LESS effort. That means, I will be making cheap self-promotions of my stories by linking them in text. Don't complain, it was in the one before.

Ready? Here we go...

[/hr]

I'd like to start off by mentioning my two newest fics; Heart Theft and Swaggin' Spike. I shall cover Heart Theft first.

So, I was doing an 8 mile walk yesterday. Y'know, exercise and stuff. The idea came into my head, premise and all. I don't really know how my brain came up with it. Sombra literally taking Pinkie's heart? The hell. I thought of it all to myself during my walk, wondering how I could use it. I wanted it to be a one-shot, and nothing special (for reasons in a bit). So I came up with a challenge; give myself two hours maximum to write it. The result is what is uploaded. Of course I went back after I was finished and corrected minor grammar mistakes.

I wasn't expecting it to be grand or amazing at all, rather just testing out speed writing. I might or might not do that again in the future at this point. How do I feel about Heart Theft? Eh...

It's a mix for me. I knew it wouldn't be a masterpiece, but I still enjoy it. Mostly the whole banter between Sombra and Twilight. In fact, my favourite line is this:

“Pinkie will be fine, you overprotective twit.”

I don't know why, but I liked that. But that isn't what takes it down for me. It's SombraPie, and even Sombra in general. I shall go on a bit about this. But first, I shall talk about the other. I tagged this blog with Heart Theft anyway, cos you know, newest story and that. To be honest, I thought it'd get swarmed in dislikes.

Swaggin' Spike, it came to me. It was the combined result of listening to the song in the fic itself, as well as the re-watching of Spiderman 3 (I quickly regretted it). You know what I mean. Emo Peter. The vibe came to me straight away. There IS another chapter to it, and I think it's even better. It's not a top priority though, so there's no schedule for its release.

Now for Sombra. I'm not a huge fan of him. I can't really place it that much, but he doesn't interest me that much. So when he's paired with Pinkie, my favourite, well it doesn't go that well. I don't hate the ship, but it's definitely near the bottom of my choice of Pinkie's ships. Why did I pick SombraPie for a fic then? I have no idea.

Actually for Pinkie's ships, I don't necessarily have a 'list' of sorts. My top still remains TwiPie, with CheesePie probably creeping up in second. I've said it before, I'll say it again, and probably even more in the future, but CheesePie has grown on me. I think taking the fact that 1/4 of my fics (at this moment) contain CheesePie, while none contain TwiPie (I don't count Pinkius Pieicus: Behind the Bush a ship), that fact has probably just backed it up more.

Let's take Pinkie Eats a Cheese Sandwich for example. I had fun writing it. Granted, the idea coming to me was random. I was eating a cheese sandwich, there's a stallion named Cheese Sandwich, there's a CheesePie ship... VOILA! GENIUS! Now you should all be looking forward to its sequel, titled: Cheese Sandwich Eats a Pie.

I'm only joking. Although... that doesn't sound too bad. I don't think I'll do it, but if anyone wants to claim it, go ahead.

More on Pinkie's shipping. I did joke in my previous blog that I shipped her with literally everything. While it was only a joke, I don't deny I ship her a lot. For example, an odd couple I like with her is Pinkamena. That's right. Pinkie and Pinkamena. Well what the hell was that man? I'm talking puffy mane Pinkie dating her straight maned doppelganger? Madness? No. I like it, odd as it is.

There's a limit to the shipping though. For normal people anyway. For instance, I don't ship her with Scootaloo, mostly because of the age difference. If you aged them both up... maybe. A bit edgy, but meh overall. There are silly ships. I mean, what would happen if Pinkie and Angel got shipped? Does that couple even exist?

...Funny, I seem to be trying to think of a shipfic.

...It's taking me over. I MUST have a Pinkie/Angel shipfic!

OK SCREW IT! I challenge beg request invite anyone reading this to write a short Pinkie/Angel shipfic. It doesn't have to be graphic, and it doesn't have to be long. Just a nice funny fic involving the weird couple. It MUST be done! I'm totally taking all the credit if it becomes super popular though, just a heads up.

But let's look back at CheesePie, and more importantly for this blog, Cheese Pie Cake. I said in my previous blog it wasn't going to be too long, but I'm getting the feeling it might reach under 15,000 words. Well to me, that's still a bit long. I don't want to drag it along, no matter how good I see it.

As I've written it, there's been so many things going on regarding my choices. Parts of me want to see the different outcomes to various situations for what they both do. Its hard to put into words, but what I mean is dialogue or action choices. Sort of like parallel worlds if they did something different, you know what I mean? I get the giddy feeling of just imagining of what would happen if some things played out differently. Like, for the best example I could think of, Cheese and Pinkie kissed at the end of that third chapter. Of course, Applejack is a chicken blocker anyway, but what would happen differently? It's fun to think about.

Actually, the ending of the third chapter is something I left with a shadow, in my opinion. I based off their situation to things I've seen in human behaviour. When two people of opposite gender are isolated for hours, engaging in conversation, watching films etc, then under the right circumstances, they might engage in some one-time things, but aren't romantically involved. It happens, and I know it does. I hope I can bring this point across, as I'm afraid my brief description here just confused some of you.

But it's what I meant to get across. The idea of the end of the third chapter is to get you to think similar to that. Pinkie and Cheese were together for hours, enjoying their games, having fun, and all that jazz. They end up in a position similar to what humans could get into, so what happens? Did Pinkie feel a bit overstimulated by the fun she had with Cheese?

Or in other words, does she actually feel something for him romance wise? You can probably argue both sides from that chapter alone. Yes she blushed at some things, but everyone blushes at things. The point I just brought up too might change your thoughts as well.

I fear I might have infuriated or confused some from all of that talk about the ending of the chapter. Let me assure you right now, that I'm practically screwing with your mind, just letting you think. The true answer will lie ahead in future chapters. ...Wait, did I just troll?

As for when the next chapter is out, I can't set a date yet. That's all I'll say.

In fact, that's all I'm saying for this part of the blog. I've been rather frustrated having to repeat the same exact thing as before. ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR WORK. That's what I've learnt from this experience.

But I won't leave you empty. A question you might be having regarding Cheese Pie Cake I shall let the two of them answer. That's right, I employed both Cheese and Pinkie to answer a question.

Do Pinkie and Cheese have anything going on between them romance wise?

Well, there's your answer folks.

You tease.

My Pinkie and Cheese kissed roughly 10,000 words in. A bazillion words later, he's only just caught on that he's in love with her, and he still doesn't know how she feels about it or if he should go for it or what.

I'm not sure what the Pies would think about premarital Twister, though.

I couldn't help the teasing. I was browsing the gallery for Pinkie Pride and... I just couldn't help myself. Pinkie's expression gets me every time.

The thing I've been a little worked up about this story though is the tag. It's Everyone right now, but some of the aspects I've gone with (the whole chicken blocker thing for instance) keep feeling Teen to me. I'm definitely scaling it down to meet Everyone, so light ship stuff happens. Because to be honest, when I wrote that part when Pinkie sorted of hinted at Cheese seductively, I actually had a little trouble figuring out where to go. I think I found a nice solution in the end with the gentle rubbing, but there will always be a part of me that just wants to go "NOW KISS AND MAKE OUT!", as much as I try to deny it.

Premarital Twister. Is that even a thing? Come to think of it, are there actually any Twister based fics? Pinkie throws a Twister party and... oh my. But sex jokes aside, I can actually imagine Pinkie playing Twister, with unsexy results obviously. Kind of makes me wonder how good Maud could be at it. If she collapsed, she'd fall like a rock.

Evidently, Pinkie owns several Twister boards, which "breaks the ice" at all kinds of parties, many of which I am too easily embarrassed to read about. Cheese, on the other hand, only seems to have played Twister with someone's OC with the implausible name of Suzanne. Popular as Twister is with the Pony set, however, it's seldom handled as well as you did. What I liked about your story is that Twister was part of a lot of party games, all of which would be absorbing to a couple of party ponies.

Tagging's tricky. I'm not sure how to handle it myself. I've only got a couple of fics with the Teen tag. One of them is the EG fic, and it's mostly because eventually it'll deal with some issues that are fairly serious, and I'd rather over-tag it now. In the other, nothing actually happened, but one character was slowly getting shellacked and there was a lot of innuendo, plus it wouldn't have been funny if you couldn't imagine a potentially naughtier ending. Which I later realized never would have happened, anyway. Friends don't let friends drive or jump into bed with pretentious travel writers when drunk.

Even kissy things are tough to tag.I've got one fic that does have a rather length kiss in it, and a different fic with a kiss that's interrupted at the last second, almost certainly by AJ. (Why does she always do this sort of thing?) But the first one is described from another character's point of view, and it's literally obscured, and the second doesn't happen, but it's from the point of view of the character trying to kiss the other character and describes a lot of physical sensation. I didn't give either a Teen rating, but if I had to, I'd probably give the Teen rating to the one where the kiss didn't happen.

I'm a nice person, but I almost found myself hoping in the Sombra fic that he would make a mistake and accidentally kill her, which is awful, isn't it? But I liked it that you acknowledge that Sombra is not a nice guy, no matter how much Pinkie likes him or vice versa.
