I'm still alive here!

This goes out to any of you who are still waiting for an update on Into the Fire.

I'm still writing here! I imagine at least one of you who has this story in your favorites list is wondering why there hasn't been an update since the middle of March, and hoping that this isn't one of those stories that will get a few chapters out and than just lose interest and die out.

I can assure you that that update is coming in due time, but real life has not exactly been kind to my writing endeavors. Starting just after I finished Chapter three, my job mowing yards took off. After a few weeks of hell on the first cuts, things quieted down just in time for State testing. After a few weeks of that, new work came in the form of fixing up the rent house that our family owns. New renters coming in has put us there most days, and I am utterly exhausted and unable to think in a manner conducive to writing by the time I get home.

Thankfully, school is out now. Also, the rent house is almost done, with the new renters coming in this weekend if all goes as planned. Once this whole thing gets done with, I should be able to get things done more efficiently. Fingers crossed!

How about an update on where the story is? To start, Chapter four is almost done.

However, it may be a while until you see it. I have a sneaky little plan to save up a few chapters and then post them over the course of a few consecutive days, hopefully to give it time on the front page and possibly increase the heat on it, maybe to get featured or into the popular section if i'm very lucky.

However, before any of that, I have decided to give my characters a major... Uh... not so much of an overhaul, but a... boost. I took into account that I was having a lot of trouble deciding where to go in Chapter five, and i looked into really fleshing out each character on a massive scale. That is what I am doing right now, building each character all the way down to the small details. It is going to take a while to do, but expect the characters to really start getting better in coming chapters.

Also, Sombra is going to make his first appearances in these coming chapters! Get hyped!
