Hey everyone. Something just hit my mind that I didn't think of before. Yes it's about Tirek again. This time, it's the fact of how he didn't know about Twilight Sparkle. So, Tirek escaped when Cerberus left his post in Tartarus, and that was back in season two. So here's what I have to ask. How did he not know about Twilight Sparkle being a princess?
He escaped and should have bared witness to, oh, I don't know, the Changeling attack, the return of the Crystal Empire, Twilight Sparkle's princess coronation. Seriously, how would he have been able to miss that. I mean I know he's just gained enough strength in the finale, but that doesn't mean that he was completely oblivious to everything happening. It should have been like this:
Tirek: Where! Is Your Magic!
Celestia: Someplace you will never find it.
Tirek: *looks around and thinks.* You gave it all to Princess Twilight Sparkle didn't you?
Celestia: How did you?...
Tirek: I've been roaming around since that time Cerberus left his post, you don't think I heard a few things.
Discord: Surely you saw this coming?
Celestia: I didn't, I really didn't.
Luna: Sister I told we should have sent her to the moon. But would you listen, nooooo. Tia knows everything.
Tirek: Ouch, she does have a point.
So yeah, Celestia shou- *Star dust blown in my face and I pass out.*
Luna: Tsk tsk tsk. How many times have I told you not to play with your grandma Lauren's computer my little one? Come on, time for your nap sweetie.

He was weak and trying to recover his power. The last thing he wanted was to be discovered and thrown back in Tarterus, so it makes sense he'd stay as far away from Canterlot as possible. Hence he knew nothing of Twilight.
I doubt he even knows about the Changling invasion, or possibly even the Crystal Empire.

Depends on where he's been. It's not like our world where information can be spread in seconds via online. It also depends on if he cares about 'pony news', which I highly doubt.

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. It's like Sunset Shimmer's plot-hole (no punning intended
), but reversed. I mean...Sunset was living in the other world up until the beginning of EG, but somehow knew about Twilight being a princess (and having a crown that was the Element of Magic, and knowing she was going to be at the same location where the mirror was). Yet, Tirek has been wondering through Equestria for almost two seasons (I have no idea if that implies two years or not...the Season 4 primere didn't help much either), but knew nothing about Twilight (though he did seem to know about both Luna's return and the existence of Cadence [which raises a new question about how old she is]). How does either one make sense?

2161790 Yeah, Cadence seems to have been around since 1000 years ago, since Tirek knows about her, but the only thing that makes other think different is that she seems to be in teen years when we see the flashback with Twilight in the season two finale. Now, that could mean that Alicorns don't mature like all other ponies do, and either age slower, or age by knowledge or magic. Then again some certain ponies could have gone back in time and saved a younger version of Cadence from 1000 years ago int the Crystal Empire and dropped her off in the more recent past of filly Twilight and Teenage Shining Armor. That would also explain why one of the crystal ponies claimed she was the long lost Crystal Princess. Hasbro, Please Utilize This!
