Regression is canon now in MLP TYT · 3:45am Jun 24th, 2022
So, the latest episode in MLP Tell Your Tale has now made regression canon in the new Gen 5. Watch "Make a Foal of Me". And you will see what I mean.
That's all I have for now, oh, and I do plan to pick back up on my stories. Just been dealing with a lot of the crazy stuff. Finals, transfer to new university, orientation, the works. Things will settle down in the coming days, and I want to get my mind of writing back to work, so expect something within the week of my stories.

Meh, technically you could argue it could be canon through that short where Princess Twilight had the sniffles and the cure turned her into a foal.
You could also make the argument that the Alicorn Amulet could grant one the power to regress others, even though it never came to that in the episode where it was featured. Discord could probably do it, as well as Starlight Glimmer.

Ah, Gen 5. I fail to see why anything from the previous gen (like abilities and spells) couldn't also automatically be canon in 5.
