Plot Teaser (Get your mind out of the gutter.) · 4:25am May 27th, 2014

Hey Everyone,
I know I missed my planned posting date, so here is a teaser. It is the last part of the chapter I am working on. Unfortunately 20 minutes ago, watch_dogs was released. You know where I'll be. But in the mean time, Here is a teaser to portion of the story's plot.

NOTE: this is unedited for word choice OR grammer OR spelling/typos. I just typed it a few minutes ago and I have not checked it. So itis not the final product will be in the story. However, you might like as a teaser.

“Yes, but I would still like to give it a shot just to see if it can tell us what happened.” Band-Aid said to one of his nurses. Him and two nurses were arguing about using the latest piece of equipment that Dexter was so kind to build for them. They were arguing whether or not they should use the device to try and solve a recent medical mystery. One of their patients, who was sick for an unknown reason, started to miraculously get better.

“Its not sanctioned though,” One of the nurses argued.

“Yes, I know that.” Band-Aid responded. “But we have abosolutely no idea what went wrong or why the patient is getting better. All our other tests have proved inconclusive.”

“Fine, but for the record note my objection. I don’t want to be held responsible if something bad happens.” The nurse defended.

“Fine, but go bring in the patient.” He told her before she left. “Nurse Redheart, go power up the Mark One.”

They wheeled the patient in and placed him in the center of the device’s ring.

“Whoa, what’s this?” the patient asked as she examined it.

“Oh, its just something we hope will tell us what was wrong with you and why you got better.” Redheart replied with a reassuring smile.

“Get out of the way Redheart!” Band-Aid said as he hit the scan button. She jumped off platform as the device began it’s scan.

The moment the displays lit up, Band-Aid shifted his gaze toward it. Immediately his eye’s bugged out.

“N-Nurse R-Redheart, can you come h-here for a moment.” He said, at a near whisper. Fear saturated his voice.

“What is it?” Nurse Redheart said worriedly as she stood beside him. “What’s wrong?” However, when she looked at the screen she nearly tripped. The scan showed an overview of the patient, however it wasn’t a pony.

“SHE’S A CHANGELI-“ Nurse Redheart started to shout in surprise, almost not believing what she was seeing on the device’s screen. However, her outburst was cut short by an aura of Band-Aid’s magic covering her snout and snapping it shut.

“Everything okay back there?” The patient called out, wearing a worried yet hopeful expression. The nurse and doctor hesitantly peaked over the displays to look at the patient.

“Yes, everything’s fine!” Band-Aid replied, though his reassuring façade was well practiced he had his doubt’s if the changeling suspected anything.

“What are we going to do?” Redheart whispered into his ear. “I mean, I’ve never met a changeling before. Is it going to eat us?” It took a moment for Band-Aid to respond.

“Listen, I’ll stay here. Hopefully it doesn’t know we’re on to it.” Band-Aid began, still whispering. “Play it cool and walk out of here, then immediately send a message to guard headquarters in Canterlot. Tell him that has happened here. Make sure you address it to Canterlot, as the Changelings should still be unable to into Canterlot and shouldn’t be able to intercept the message.”

“Okay,” Nurse Redheart replied, still with fear in her voice. “A-Anything else?”

“Yes, make sure your letter tells them about the Mark One. Canterlot has been looking for ways to reliably detect changelings ever since their attack. It’s critical they know about the Mark One.” He said still with a hushed tone. “Then afterwards send a message to the closest guard garrison and have them send a squad here immediately.” Band-Aid said this with a sinking feeling in his chest. He knew that the guard would investigate his claim, and if they got a hold of the Mark One, would want answers. He wasn't a fan of being asked tough questions.

“Is everything alright back here?” The patient asked, seemingly popping up out of now here. Band-Aid hurriedly pulled the plug on the Mark One, causing it’s displays to sputter out before the ‘patient’ could see what was on them.

“No, nothing. Nothing at all.” Band-Aid replied hastily, sweat starting to form on his head as he addressed his ‘patient.’ “Though, I’d still like to keep you here for observation just to make sure that you’re okay.” Band-Aid turned to Nurse Redheart and mouthed ‘Go.’ She immediately turned and left.

“Are you sure that is necessary?” The patient asked.

“Yes, now please return to your bed.”
