Some Story Ideas · 2:54am May 13th, 2014
So, I was sitting down and thinking recently, and I came up with a few story Ideas. I really want to do a human crossover of some kind, but I don't want to take a similar Idea or one that is very commonly used, like a person finding a portal to equestria, or one day they wake up in equestria, or they even come across one or all of the mane six in the human world. There are also instances where they are combined together, having several humans in equestria or Earth taken over by ponies. Or I could exclude the Humans all together and just write a story.
Idea one: I kind of came up with the idea of having a girl witness all of her friends turn into ponies, gradually one by one, but the character themselves doesn't. There are many ways I could go about the story, like the character either being a fan of the show, or absolutely hating it. (ooh, I like the hating it idea actually. It would add a nice twist). They could witness their world change, and maybe even possibly discover why it's happening. I'd have to be very careful writing this though.
Idea two: Okay, this Idea is a little similar to Equestria girls, but it's basically that one character (human) or a group of friends discovers that there is a parallel universe out there, where every person in their world in a pony or some type of creature in the Equestrian world. This might be too challenging of a story for me currently but it could be something to do in the future at some point.
Idea three: Dream. The character discovers she has unique abilities with her dreams, and gains abilities to not only be in full consciousness in her dreams, but to also change a dream, travel to other dreams, and change the dream at will. Probably would be called 'Dream Weaver'. Also got a random Idea to have it be about a griffin who grew up living with ponies.
Idea four: I could create a sequel to the Hunger games story I am writing. THIS option would end up being either like Catching fire or Mocking Jay, depending on what happens in the novel and depends on how much more writing I would like to do.
Idea five: A slice-of-life story. I HAVE AN IDEA. I was thinking of talking about the process of becoming a wonder bolt. We see Rainbow Dash going through the same thing. Not sure if I would want to write about a character(like spitfire, or Soarin) in their experience, or use/make an OC. Possibility to make the character at the same age and Dash, and would participate around the same time as Dash. Maybe slight behind her (in years or something). Just thought of the Idea (June 4th). Also might ask for OC submissions to create a character.

I VOTE SEQUEL TO THE HUNGER GAMES
2106917 Yeah, I've contemplated a sequel almost every time I'm writing a a chapter of the story, and then I just sit there and think about it and not write. And then I get mad at the Ideas for a sequel when I haven't even finished my first
Oh challenges... this is a struggle.
2106939 I KNOW WHAT YOU MEEEEAAAAANNN. EVERY TIME I WRITE OR THINK ABOUT MY STORY I THINK ABOUT THE SEQUEL. AND THE ANNOYING THING IS I CAN'T TELL ANYONE ABOUT WHAT THE SEQUELS ABOUT OR IT'LL SPOIL THE ENTIRE FIRST SOTRY. GAAAHHHHHH WHY MUST LIFE BE SO HAAAARRRRRRD.
You just do whatever you feel capable of finishing as well as whether you enjoy writing it.

I like one and five
2106966 sometimes I just want to like skip forwards in time to the point where it was finished and then that be that.
2106989 I know. Dangit! Now I want to work on my story some more! brb!
I am really NOT much of a fan of Human stories, so by all means start thinking about a sequel to your HG fic.
Hm, I like idea 2. It actually pretty original for a human story.
Well idea one sounds interesting, especially with a hater. The dream one is also interesting and I believe you would have to try hard not to make it not sound like a silent hill parody. And of course HG sequel sounds like a priority to me.
Also I know how you feel when you have an idea and don't write, I have a story just sitting there not even started because I can't even start to write it without drifting off on to some other thoughts.
