WKMH Hiatus To End soon · 3:55pm May 10th, 2014
Hey. Just want everyone to know that I have been starting to feel better, with my mind and well-being. I think taking some time to focus on my other personal obligations and priorities helped me cool myself off a bit. All I have now is to get through finals week, then I'll be driving back home for the summer. That being said, I think it will be safe to say that I will be picking up "When Kindness Met Hatred" again in about a week or two.
However, the story won't be my only priority for my vacation, as I'm still unemployed. While the search for internships has been going alright, I'm getting absolutely nowhere with hiring. I'll see if I can pick up a simple job like pet sitting, just so I could have more time to write and work with my own schedule. Other than that, the updates may be unpredictable as usual.
Now, as you may know, the fourth season has just ended. If you missed out on the finale, go see it for it was epic! But that's beside the point. I'm actually very relieved that not too much has changed in show cannon that would mess up my story. My biggest hope was that Fluttershy's family would NOT be revealed this season. I think you can all understand why. It looks like my wish was granted.
Now, during my break, I did take the liberty of perusing through my old chapters and refreshing myself on my own work. I made some corrections, fixed some mistakes. I also find it helpful to revisit the world I created and how I write for my characters. While I am nervous about the next update and developing my characters from this point on, I'm hoping I can carry on this story to what I originally pictured it to be.
I'm definitely going to be focusing more on better ways I can sound like Fluttershy in my narration, developing the villains and revealing the reasons why Fluttershy's family is so homophobic. But be warned... soon a certain lioness will attack. And that's not even the ending!
Just one more question before I go. Does anyone here think that Mockingbird is a bit of a Gary Stu? I know some people have said he's well developed and that they can even relate to him, but lately I've just been thinking differently. Please answer honestly. He's my first OC and I really want to do my best with him.

Can I just ask why were you relieved that Fluttershy's family was not revealed during the whole of Season 4? Just wondering now......
2095807 I would of had to either rewrite the whole story, or scrap it completely. I don't know if she has a brother, a sister, if she's an only child, or if she's even an orphan. Things can get ugly if cannon clashes with fanfiction.
