I recently got engaged, which is truly The. Best. Thing. Ever!! :)
Needless to say, all of the excitement over the last couple of months has had its effects on my writing schedules. The only writing I got done was a little gardening story that was inspired by my girlfriend, err, fiancee and I planting a garden together. And with the end of the school year coming over the next month, I suspect my "at-work" writing time will certainly be at a minimum. But we'll see! I'm still eager to get back into the meat of "No Reservations" and get that creative process back on track.
Our wedding isn't planned until June 2015, so at least we've lots of time to prepare and plan for that. Knowing me, I might write a parody about the engagement/wedding/planning process just for grins, I guess the main question is which characters to use, hmmmm.
I've also found myself on a big HiE / PoE story kick lately as far as what I'm reading, so if anyone has some "must not miss" stories to suggest, please leave me a comment. My favorites list might not reflect everything I've read so any suggestions of that style of story are fair game (though I don't tend to read clop/mature).
Other than that, for all those finishing up a school year, good luck with finals! The end of the year for me is a little different, being staff instead of student, but all in all I just want to wish all those about to start summer break in a month (or so) a happy fun summer and looking forward myself to the break to work on wedding plans, writing, and generally being a bum for two and a half months :)
