OK...not exactly! However, with my wedding only two months away I've basically not been writing at all...just so much to get done and take care of. Today though, I had a silly flash of inspiration this morning when I jokingly made an association with my finacee and Rarity. There are quite a few similarities though! Just wanted to share a small milestone, it brought a smile to my face.

I now have a third story (Doggone it, Fluttershy) that has broken the 1,000 view mark!

I realize in the grand scheme of things, this isn't that big a deal, but I guess I needed a bit of a pick me up as a hobbyist writer and this definitely did it.

I've decided to withdraw my most recent story attempt, it clearly wasn't well received. One could argue it wasn't received at all in fact! :p

And that's all fine, sometimes what sounds like a good idea to you just doesn't work for others.

Big thanks to MythrilMoth and Glass Elevator for the comments and feedback. It's helpful when you get feedback at all.

But rather than continue with that particular idea, I'll just take my lumps and move on with my existing project.

It's certainly been a busy start to the season for me, though in about two weeks it should get much more calm. I work at a school district, so we get the same time away as the students. I'm looking forward to that break for many reasons!

What a busy month, and it's only half done. I should be wrapping up my current story in progress today after final edits and I'll be glad to see that one reach its conclusion. It's certainly my longest work to date.

When I wrote my first story, it was because an idea had gotten into my head, and I wanted to get it out.

Now that I've written a handful of stories (and my current one in progress is entering the final stretch) I'm at a bit of a writer's crossroads. I suppose this is fairly commonplace for newer writers. You have a few ideas that all come at you at once, then after those are done...what next?
