So, Here's How Things Stand · 9:03pm May 5th, 2014
As a vast majority of you are now aware, Ravenhide is back in business and is working on cranking out chapters like a madman. However, there are some LONG outstanding issues that need to be addressed, as kindly pointed out by one pony88.
As some of you already are aware, Valkyrie was not supposed to be as popular as it has been. It was only designed to be an experiment, something tossed together without much thought and published so my personal watchers could nit-pick over my world building attempts. Well, Valkyrie became much more insanely rated than I had ever dreamed it would. Suddenly put under pressure to both continue the story AND make it epic, I was left scrambling to decide how I wanted to proceed from the first couple of chapters. After a while, I quickly decided upon a direction and took off with it, determined to do the fiction justice. However, while later chapters are certainly feasible and more fleshed out, the beginning chapters are a bit blocky, with unrealistic character development and actions and a whole host of other small annoyances-- something that pony88 did point out, and helped me make this final decision:
Valkyrie will be undergoing some minor revisions before the next chapter is release. Nothing overly major, I assure you! Nothing that's going to change the direction of the story or whats already taken place or anything. At most, its going to be some slightly revamped scenes, especially those concerning characters that aren't Rainbow Dash. Seeing as her chapters came much later, Rainbow is pretty solid as far as character development goes-- others, like Twilight, Rarity, and Fluttershy... Not so much. While each and every character does have a role to play within the story, I cannot just leave them underdeveloped. They have to learn. They have to strive. They have to breath.
I won't be republishing chapters that are already published. Instead, keep an eye out on chapters marked as [revised], and know that such marked chapters are tweaked only slightly. They may be a little longer or a little shorter than before, but its not going to change anything majorly.
After all, Valkyrie has just broken the 1000 favorites barrier with the introduction of Chapter 8. Its high time I get my stuff in gear and write (or type) like we all know I am capable of doing.
It certainly emulates the story it's drawing its inspiration from, and from reading the original source material it seems like it would be okay to do what is done with Will and Horace's other friends like George(if that's his name) and Alice. We don't see them too often but through dialog and other different mediums we can still see how the developed. This is a story I follow both because of how it's written, and because how much I love and recognize how each scene is similar to the ones in RA. Keep up the good work.

Will Unyielding continue as well? Or is it only Valkyrie you'll be focusing on?
