Rest in Peace, Robin Williams · 3:35am Aug 12th, 2014
Rest in Peace, Robin Williams. For those who do not yet know, the greatest comedian and actor in the last decade died in his California home today, at the age of 63. They say that Robin was battling severe depression lately, and it is believed that he took his own life.
He had just been persuaded to act in a sequel to Mrs. Doubtfire, and the script was in the process of being written at the time of his passing. I feel as though he has left behind a great hole that will never be filled. He made people laugh, he made people happy. He was a great man, through and through. I would say he was a true embodiment of the Element of Laughter.
Bronies, my comrades, my fandom, I beseech you: Let us have a moment of silence, a show of respect for the passing of a great mind. It does not have to be done immediately, but please, as soon as you are able, offer a moment of silence. Thank you. ~Ravenhide
As an aside, updates to my stories are coming quickly. I had to make an emergency week-long trip up to South Dakota, and I've just now returned. Sorry.
My sadness cannot be described by words.
2363333 Nor mine. He was a great and wonderful man, and he will be much missed.
R.I.P. Robin. As Flicka said, you are humanity's Element of Laughter.
Safe Journey, dear sir. We'll see you on the other side.
He was an inspiration to me. A lot of my comedy was inspired by him. I honestly cried when it sank in.
I'll never be able to watch Aladdin the same way ever again knowing that the voice that made the Genie the incredible character he was is no longer with us. It's just not fair, first Bob Hoskins, now Robin? WILL ANY OF MY CHILDHOOD MOVIE COMEDIANS BE SAFE THIS YEAR?
It is really really sad he was a great actor and a even greater comedian. We will miss you
