    So, Things

Oh, looky that! I've finally found myself on FimFiction for longer than about five minutes! Astounding. I have 223 story chapters that need read on my library. I have 157 notifications and over 6k updates in my feed. That's gonna be a daunting task, I feel.

Concerning the three 'R's of Valkyrie

Okay, so. Since I am getting really quite tired of readers telling (or sometimes asking, though rarely) me that I need to change how this little bit of my world works, I'm just going to post this little blog to clear the air once and for all.

So I've had a couple of you asking what I thought of The Last Jedi, so I figured I'd come out to say that the movie was definitely great. It had it flaws, as all movies do, but overall the movie was something I'd love watching again. If there is one thing that this movie did right, though, was Skywalker. Lucas was very bad when it came to his characters having stiff dialogue (what do you expect, the dude literally became famous for writing what was essentially fanfiction), but Skywalker was by far the worst-- both Anakin and Luke. He whined to Yoda and he whined to Obi-wan-- 85% of anything Skywalker did was whine. Yet in The Last Jedi, Disney did a good job at turning Luke into a character with far more depth than he ever had in the other movies. Hell-- he's been the first character in the series now that finally has the good sense to admit that despite all of their good intentions and special powers, the Jedi have been a HUGE detriment to the universe as a whole-- what with all the defections to the dark side and the mayhem that follows.

So what about you guys and your thoughts? I find myself looking forward to where Disney takes this series next. Its nice to actually have someone tell an actual story, explain how things are, instead of having the community create 99.9% of the lore themselves.

THANK YOU! I'm sick of all the hate the movie gets. Most of it boils down to, "How dare you let characters evolve after 40 years" and "Erg, Meh headcanon!" It was an awesome movie, easily the second best of the series, but people are pissed because it wasn't their story. Luke was awesome, the dynamic between Rey and Ren was awesome, Rose was awesome (though her and Fin's story could have been better), and Poe's side story was pretty cool with a nice lesson.

Super Leia was a bit cringy, though, I'll admit.

4758588 That's pretty much how it goes. Lucas sold Star Wars to Disney because he was "tired of the community", but the entire reason the community is so "bad" is because Lucas only ever bothered giving us the absolute bare bones of a story and lore for his movies. So now that the community has had years and years of building their own lore and whatnot, most of them are super inflexible when it comes to Disney (who, for the most part, is very good at creating stories) trying to build something like what the Star Wars name could have been if Lucas hadn't decided it was simply not worth the time.

I'd also like to reiterate: Lucas became famous because he wrote what was essentially fanfiction. That is the entirety of what Star Wars was. Fanfiction. I feel like way too many people forget or ignore that detail.
