So, I have this idea that has been a rough draft for a while, about a hippogriff, and the troubles of existing in a society that doesn't want you. Griffons seeing you as half food, ponies seeing you as half predator, neither side accepting any of the whole individual.
The protagonist starts off as a slave actually, part of a carnival show in the Hinterlands, a space of territory in between Griffonholm and the Sea of Grass, where the zebras live. She's a freak show exhibit that occasionally gets sold off for sexual purposes to for buyers with enough coin.
The story goes into full swing when she is rescued and brought to Equestria, and the healing process begins.
Story would be mature, for oh so many reasons.
Will also be dealing with male griffons having barbed penises, being felines.
Any interest? Any input? Those of you with worthy ideas, here is your chance to have some say. This story is bones only, with very little meat.
I'm horrified, yet intrigued. This would be a great way to explore the differences between the griffon and pony worldviews, shaped by both biology and society. Seeing those views collide in the protagonist, seeing the conflict in her eyes as she struggles to achieve some sense of identity beyond "freak," that could definitely be fascinating.
I'm not sure what to suggest here, other than perhaps a glance at Celestia's views on pony hybrids. Hippogryphs, mules, zonies... how does she feel towards such creatures? Does she have plans for them in the greater social fabric she's trying to knit?
This definitely sounds like a good read. I look forward to it once you've fleshed it out.
Would read.

I don't actually intend for it to be a clopfic surprisingly.
But there will be some very painful to read elements that I don't think would fit into a teen rating.
Like a hobble, an iron hobble, locked around a leg, cutting into flesh, needing to come off, and not having a key...
Just one of many examples.
Kudzu, now you're starting to scare me.
I would definitely give this a chance if you were to write it. You had me at barbed pe-...err, hippogriff.
