I am the guy who writes the Equestrian-Marvel Universe. If you don't know what that is, take a look at The Iron Mare. Oh, and I write other things.

Reviews: Winter Soldier, Tools and Trade Ya · 1:47pm Apr 20th, 2014

So here's my first round of reviews. I will try my best to keep these as spoiler-free as possible.
First up, There's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I originally walked into this movie expecting something great. I expected something along the lines of Thor: The Dark World or Iron Man 3. Instead, I got something much better. This movie was fast paced, had great humor throughout, Had great characters and was overall a fantastic movie. Both credit scenes were actually important, though the second one can be easily predicted. The action was realistic and great, counting on the characters' own strengths to play off of. And before I give anything away by accident, I'll give this movie a 9.5/10. Go watch it!
Next, we have the story Tools, a story about consulting detective Twilight Sparkle working on a case to stop a serial killer. It has a few things going on throughout that make you wonder, and right when you think you know what's happening, it throws a twist in there that you probably won't see coming. A few grammatical mistakes and spelling errors, but overall, they're fairly small and don't really take too much away from the story. Great characters that are very true to the show itself and overall, a 9/10. If you don't like the darker stories here, then I would definitely say to stay away from this one. But if you don't mind reading about a pony murder mystery, click the link and give it a read!
Now onto the last of the reviews, Trade Ya. When I first read the write-up, I thought back to a Sci-Fi show that was very unfortunately taken off the air after only one season (special appearance of your OC in a story if you can tell me which show). But, after watching the episode, I realized it was very much the older use of a trading post in cartoons. I was a little annoyed I could see every turn, but really, that's probably my fault for expecting so much. Overall, I'd give this episode an 8/10 for the season.
That's all for now, guys. I'll be getting my next chapter of The Incredible Flutterhulk(tagged to the right) out sometime this week, so you can look forward to that. My next set of reviews will be Iron Man 3, The Code's Apprentice and next week's episode. See you then!
