Today I went and looked at the comments in my comments box. 945, as of this writing. It occurred to me that I am just 55 comments away from having written a story that had gotten one THOUSAND comments… and that all things considered, it'll only be a matter of time.
It's been a long, long road. Lots of chapters, lots of plot twists. Originally, I was planning on having Divided Rainbow be a self-contained storyline, but between such spinoffs as Ask The Swapped Ponies, End Of The Spectrum, well, this tale has taken on a life of its own.
And I pretty much owe it all to you: my readers and fans. Your comments, feedback, suggestions and questions have been what's kept me at my word processor, cranking out more and more story. To all of you who wrote back, to all of you who didn't keep your thoughts to yourself, you have my deepest gratitude.
Which brings me to Mr. BadWolf9510, author of Into The Hedge. Bad Wolf and I soon became good friends, thanks to our back-and-forth on Ask The Swapped Ponies, with Bad Wolf playing The Lady's Messenger, and I responding back as Lero. Bad Wolf wanted to take that plot line to the next level, and make it into a proper story in its own right, based on his knowledge of fairy lore.
When I look at Bad Wolf, I see myself, exactly a year ago, when I'd first posted Divided Rainbow here on Fimfiction.net. A dark horse newcomer author with lots of ambition and talent, cranking out chapters and hoping that it'd find an audience.
I respect his vision so much and am intrigued by his story, that I've been assisting him with his chapters as an editor. His idea is to further explore the nature of Lero's most feared and cryptic enemy: The Lady, and I know he's onto something thrilling. Both of us are always collaborating in earnest, trying to make it so that Into The Hedge and Divided Rainbow fit as seamlessly as possible into the same continuity.
So I urge you: if you're truly enjoying Divided Rainbow, please give Into The Hedge a read as well, and please be kind enough to leave a comment. Even if you think it needs improvement, constructive criticism would be a great help. I've seen good authors and I've seen poor ones, and Bad Wolf's the sort of writer who deserves encouragement, attention, and guidance, so please come in, read, and leave your thoughts!
I have had "Into the Hedge" in my "Read Later" list since forever.
I'm sorry for procrastinating on that.

Know how you feel. I enjoyed this other Fay story very much. So much in fact, that I started to read the game Changeling: the Lost
I need to apologize to Badwolf. I tried to read Into the Hedge, I really did. It just didn't work for me. The quality was great but the story plot just didn't jive for me. I can't even put my finger on why. Usually I can say what rubs me the wrong way about a story, plot holes, random shipping, mary sues, and out of character moments to name some of the big ones.
I think it just isn't the type of story I enjoy. That is a problem with my taste in literature not in story or quality and for that I am sorry.
