Umm... Wat? · 3:43pm Apr 9th, 2014
So... people seem to like Scotchtavia. And when I say that, I mean that it hit the pop reel. The. Fricking. Pop. Reel.
Wat?
I kinda wish I'd got a screenshot of it now, as I don't see it happening again any time soon, but it was there, on the actual Pop Reel. And at the moment, it's still in the popular stories list. I... uh... seem to have written something good.
There is no combination of words currently in my vocabulary that can properly express the scale of my gratitude for the support you've all given me... so I'll refer to Rarity to give you a basic idea of how thankful I am:
Thanks Rares.
And not only that, my follower count has now surpassed fifty. In fact, it's nearly up to sixty. I... need to celebrate somehow. Some kind of special blog maybe, but at the moment, I'm still kinda too much in shock to think. Any ideas? Post them below, please.

Don't short change yourself buddy. You're writing style is different from what is normally seen, but still rather effective. The only thing I really noticed that needs fixing in your writing is the legendary "Show don't tell."
If you ever need any help with that, let me know. People tell me I'm pretty good at that part.
Oh, and as for that image, here you go:

Well I can't stand to see someone so close to sixty, plus I was impressed. So let's change that number from 59 to 60 shall we

Yeah, 'tis true. But, writing is a learning experience. Where's the enjoyment if I have nothing to learn?
And I kinda meant a screenshot of the Story in the Pop Reel at the top of the page, but thanks for trying anyway!
your welcome, it was a good oneshot.

oddly enough when the story is written as a characters inner monologue or narration the 'show don't tell' rule can be ignored to a degree and it still works well. that's what I love about writing. many of its rules are more guidelines.
It was actually in the featured box for a brief amount of time.

Not even kidding it was awesome, totally unexpected but truly awesome. I think what makes it so good is the fact that it's a very "human' experience, a deep secret revealed when somepony gets very drunk & their partner's main reaction being more of care & love than mistrust & anger.
