    Back From the Dead

A rather rough semester combined with a general lack of inspiration has bogged down all my progress to a virtual halt. However, I have managed to finish enough of HeartBeat to constitute the bare minimum of a chapter. As always, I'd appreciate anyone who could spare a bit of time to look over the chapter and let me know just how badly I screwed up. To any all willing to help edit:

In Need of a Personal Trainer

No, not a literal personal trainer, though I am rather doughy... Okay, in addition to an actual personal trainer, I find myself in need of someone that can help push me to write. Here's the thing, I have no real barriers to getting words down. I have plenty of inspiration and, sometimes, free time with which to write. But I just don't have the motivation. My drive to write is often

    All Hands on Deck!

Despite some very sound advice, I still can't help but feel as though I should be putting out more. While I do have some publishable material I've been sitting on, I don't have any pre-readers, contributors, editors, etc. I'm also wanting to do a proper cover-art (for once). While I'd hoped (and still do) to find someone willing to do it pro-bono, I do suppose all my recent overtime may

    Update (Again)

Due to a serious lack of motivation, I squandered my three day weekend last weekend, and today's my only day off. Unfortunately, averaging over 50 hours a week really cuts into not only story writing time, but also allows projects around the house to pile up. I'm going to try to get a bit done on Dragon Emissary today, but I don't have any illusions that there might be a chapter published this

    Three Day Weekend

I have a rare reprieve from my relentless work schedule. A three day weekend. I plan on making the most of it. Now, today was day one, though I didn't squander it. I just finished the latest chapter of HeartBeat. Just need to edit it and get it posted. I'm hoping to at least get the next chapter of Dragon Emissary finished before I return to work, too. Two chapters if I'm lucky. (I'm never

The S.H.I.P.P.I.N.G. Machine Sequel · 8:57pm Apr 7th, 2014

So, I enjoyed writing a date between Trixie and Fluttershy enough that I decided to start writing another story starring them. I was hoping for some feedback since I've just started drafting it.

I was thinking of making it a bit more serious than the comedic date shown in The S.H.I.P.P.I.N.G. Machine. I'm thinking of making it star Trixie moving to Ponyville...as Princess Twilight's personal student!

I'm sure it's been done before, but this story isn't about Twilight. It's about Trixie trying to fit in around Ponyville and her burgeoning romance with Fluttershy.

Lookin' forward to it.

Eh, I'm not fond of the thought of Trixie becoming Twilight's student, It has been done alot and her personality just doesn't seem to match with it. I just think she'd consider it too demeaning. I could more see say 'Twilight putting an ad out, or asking the Princesses to help her find a student. Trixie hearing about it and agreeing in a more roundabout way.' Like Trixie acting more like they are learning from eachother for mutual benefit, though Twilight is paying her as Trixie's time is precious. Unless its a unpaid student thing, but Twilight I assume gets a stipend so not really sure why Trixie wouldn't.

Now with that said, I felt the romance between Trixie and shy in The S.H.I.P.P.I.N.G. Machine was frigging fantastic and would love to see it continue! So many potential fun/dramatic/sad/romantic situations you can do with it! How does the town react to Trixie's return? Is Trixie going to be just as paranoid about being lynched in the town as she was in the last story, and if so is there legitimate reason for her concern? How will friends react should they find Trixie sneaking to Flutters place, especially since Fluttershy didn't tell anyone who the pony she went out on the date with was? Will Angel continue to sabotage them, or did he learn his lesson? Will Pinkie try to throw her a party only for her to hide and not show up? *note: EVERY story has Pinkie doing this, but not once has Trixie decided not to go despite how bad of an idea it always seems.* Will Flutters help Trixie as in the last story she seemed pretty stressed/paranoid/upset about her life in general.
Also curious on where Trixie is actually staying. I kinda wonder since she said she went from one town to the next trying to find her certain somepony if she has a wagon or if she's kinda become a drifter sleeping in parks.
..........Ok, so I kinda rambled a bit there. In conclusion, I approve of this choice in sequels, though I am on the fence depending on how you address the student thing with Twilight. Feel free to pm me or anything if you need any feedback. I like helping Trixie writers when I can. :pinkiehappy:

I was afraid of the situation being trite, but I do have a plan for Trixie to be Twilight's unwitting student. :raritywink:

A lot of your questions will be addressed, though, honestly, I hadn't considered Pinkie's reaction just yet. One thing I'm not afraid to give away that Angel and Trixie do not and will not get along. Probably ever.

Your feedback was helpful. Thank you.

Why can't it just be about Trixie moving to Ponyville because she wants a relationship with Fluttershy? That in itself could bring enough drama. Instead of being Twilight's student, have her work at Quills and Sofas or something. Somewhere that doesn't already have a member of the Mane Six working there.
