    Mother of God, pt. II

This post isn't just about le art, but first things first:

You guys remember how Wisp's cutie mark was kind of technically definitely stolen? Well, no more. Finally, at long last, it has happened:

    Kinda big news (rewriting)

So last night I spent a good several hours talking with a couple friends about Fireflank. At first it was about a few important things I might change about the story at large (and most particularly my concerns that I may allow Wisp to come off as "too" talented magically), but as things progressed and more input was given, I became convinced that it would indeed be in my best interests to go over

    I'm horrible

So I was working on Fireflank. I really was. But then Fallout: Eclipse sucked me in until I was done with its first chapter and I'm terrible.

The Tiniest Update - Fireflank Time

Just letting it be known that I'm now focusing again on Fireflank, having decided it best to work on the story that's actually at a fully writable stage. Doing at least a little bit every day.

Um. Important update. · 4:27am Mar 29th, 2014

I really should wait about a week to post something, as I'm self-conscious about going back and forth on my followers and readers. But the issue is firmly at the front of my mind and staying there, so I might as well.

The way I was going, we may have had a new chapter every week or two. I'm so ready to get the ball rolling here, soooo ready, especially since I'm feeling so good about it all and motivated, unlike any other time since initial publishing. However, if things were to go this way, the story would really be a shadow of what it could become. I'm so eager to get the setup behind me/us, have the relationships (and relationship) established, and have fun seeing what the character do, but...

As Everhopeful advises me (basically), it's best that, for one, I find myself another editor I mesh well with and can work closely with on more than just a couple days a week. This leads into another point, which is that the story needs more planning. So much time had already been spent doing so, but now that the story is out of the gate, it needs more planning to fill in the highly numerous blanks throughout the story I have in mind. Everhopeful will always be helpful and integral to this, but with my passion, time, and eagerness to work on this stuff right now, I need to be able to keep things going while at the same time being kept in check.

So, truthfully, I don't know when the next chapter will be out right now. I'm not sure chapter 1 will require way too much editing, but going forward, the story is definitely in need.

But, however long this takes and future chapters take, I'm working on it. It just may not come out as fast as I would like.
