Well finally finished Drop of the Creature! Moved the lyrics offsite, linked in the story, and it was finally approved on FimFic. Thanks for the folks that waited patiently.
On another note, R4R was declined by EqD. No surprise there, those guys just don't like me, and just don;t understand that there is more than one type of writing. Reasons like "Louis and Pinkie aren't presented as characters", or "now mostly a series of incidents" make me laugh at the ignorance represented. Louis is a foil, and always was meant to be merely the lens through which the story, PINKIE'S story was told. He was an everyman, average Joe that the reader could describe as they saw fit. Just a blank straight guy to go against Pinkies craziness. Hell I didnt even give him a description at first, until enough people asked for it.
And not shit, series of incidents. That's exactly what this is supposed to be. It's cartoony, and episodic. Sure, I am threading some character building as a gently arc, showing Pinkies obsession, and how it's eventually going to be resolved as the relationship matures between them. Mostly though, its just a series of funny jokes strung along as a story, ala Looney Tunes, Spongebob, and almost any other cartoon. Honestly, I drew most of my inspiration from Dan vs. Really, how much character building was there? What were Dan's motivations? He really didn't have any aside from being an asshole, and hating everyone for pretty much no reason.
But enough of my ranting. Enjoy the story, and expect an update by the end of the week!
What exactly do they think the whole of existence is? Would they prefer a blank page to stare at for a half hour instead? Do they think "slice of life" is something you find on restaurant menus?
