A Hairy Problem: One Year Later · 5:31am Mar 23rd, 2014
Today marks the 1st birthday of the original A Hairy Problem being published on Fimfic. Looking back on it, I can't say I expected the story to go as far as it has, even earning its first approval award just last week;
Not bad for a story that I came up with purely on the basis of having been part of an online stream session with friends from a pony forum and watching the MST3K riff on 'Werewolf', where everybody started joking about 'Werewolf Applejack' when Mike Nelson mentioned something about apples in the opening host segment. Not the most glorious of origins, but certainly one of the more unique in my opinion in that it came to be all because of a spoken line of dialogue that hadn't even been about anything even remotely related to werewolves.
Of course, the story wouldn't have gotten off the ground without the support of the friends and readerbase I've come to know through Fimfic, so a big, warm thank you to all of you out there for the encouragement and aid you've given me in the past year.
I submitted the story to Twilight's Library in the last open submission period because it deserves to be there.
